It has been my assertion for many years now, and This opinion is not at all changing with each new generation of computers, Operating Systems & Internet Advances.
If anything; i find rather curious that in the last 10 years ! ? there have been not ‘Noticeable’ Advances in Computer Technology, Operating System’s Ease of Use or Internet Cleverness. i base this primarily on my previous observation that in the early days of computing & internet usage, there were Very, Very Noticeable Changes every few months.
Particularly with Computer Interface Design & The Speed at which Internet Content could be Downloaded. 15 years ago, The Internet was so astonishingly slow, and nowadays, i wonder, i wonder very hard, how could it have been that slow, compared to now? It’s truly incomprehensible.
For example; 15 years ago, in 1995, at that onset of AOL, which was a precursor to Common Internet Usage; it took an hour to download One Megabyte of Content.
Now it takes, Less than a second.
i’m sure that if you weren’t there, That sounds completely ridiculous, but i assure you, this is one of the few times i am Not exaggerating.
One Hour for One Megabyte to be Transferred over Ordinary Phone Lines.
How could it have been that slow?

It has been my assertion for many year now, That Computers & The Internet are for Geeks & Nerds - - Only.
That is; The Ordinary Damp Masses, Can not use These Products & Services.
i base this primarily on my simple observation that everyone i know, does not use computers or the internet - - Or; If they do; They use them only in their most simplistic forms, Rarely, If ever, for Genuine Computational Services or Internet Commerce.
And Rightly So. These Services are Unavailable to them,
Because their usage is Incomprehensible to them.

One of the things that i find very, very annoying is that entering the Internet is like stepping out of your home, into the most crime ridden neighborhood in your city.
It may look reasonably pleasant, There isn’t a problem with pervasive litter, broken windows, crumbling brickwork or slovenly dressed ner’er-do-wells lingering on every street corner; As is common in downtown Seattle - -
But you have to -Constantly- Be On Guard ( !!! )
i genuinely -Can Not Imagine- how A Person with an IQ of merely 100, could survive in this environment.
It is constantly trying to take advantage of you, and once you fall pry to it, It will empty your Checking Account or Deluge you in Unwanted Phone Calls or Emails.
Most of my Emails are Pure Junk, As just a few years ago, Most of my Snail Mail was Pure Junk. But This New Generation of Pure Junk is Constantly trying to Trick you into betraying you into Surrendering Confidential Information that -It Will; Everytime- Use to make your life Miserable.
One this has happened; you are never going to touch that hot stove again.

Another thing;
About computers; i have routinely running into problems with my own MacBook that cause me considerable grief.
And overcoming these problems requires every bit of my stupendous, slightly above average, intellect.
i really can not imagine how a person with an IQ of merely 100 could cope with these problems.
In Such a Situation that one of The Damp Masses buys a computer and after a week or so, assuming by some -Genuine- Miracle, they get it up & running,
They will encounter one of These, before mentioned, very annoying problems;
And just stop using it.
Or They will return it again & again to the store where they bought it,
And eventually The Store will just stop helping them.
And once this has happened; How long will it be before they purchase another computer?
The answer is: Never.
It is my contention that of The Millions of Computers sold every year, 80% by weight of them, are collecting dust in a corner of some room which has developed a reputation of a Taboo Hollow. Untouchable products & appliances are put there, and It is simply avoided. This corner is never dusted or vacuumed. Raccoons may take up residence in this corner of the living room, and they are left unmolested.

If The Computer isn’t completely abandoned & put in a closet, basement or attic;
Then it is used in the most benign way, Only for email, Chat rooms or Possibly to download MP3’s from.

We occasionally hear of a 12 year old writing an App for The iPhone,
but we also occasionally hear of a two headed baby being born in the Philippines.

i don’t believe that the Internet is what, It is being sold to us as.
Several years ago; It was commonly described as being a gigantic ocean, that was only a few inches deep at its most fathomless trenches.
i don’t think, as of 2011, this has changed at all.
What most surprises me is how much is -Missing- from The Internet.
There are these things called; Newsgroups, which are ostensibly places where like minded people can assemble and share ideas, and to be fair, i believe that these Newsgroups, that i grew up with, have been replaced with ‘something else’.
i occasionally stumble across these ‘something elses’ but i have not been able to figure them out, or use them to my advantage.
But the point being; To my way of thinking, There should be a Newsgroup for Every Imaginable Hobby & Distraction. And yet there isn’t.
This undoubtedly is the result of my previous claim that very few people actually use computers or the internet,
But still - - Even if only 2% of 8 Billion people used the Internet - -
That would allow 160 million people to represent everyone interested in the gematria. Which would be some tiny fraction of that,
This should still be Several Thousand People world wide.
And yet; There seems to be less than a dozen, separated by individual blogs, that rarely share ideas.

i believe that a second Dot.Com Bust is right around the corner.
Companies like Google & Flickr & Yahoo survive by ‘invisibly’ selling advertising to people that visit the internet, and i very much believe that these companies that buy this advertising are going to wake up some morning and realize that it’s a hoax.
These sorts of ‘Scams’ are sometimes very long lived.
That is; They may be able to perpetuate themselves for many, many years by simply trading money back & forth with other ‘insiders’ that continue to believe that they are Not standing in a castle made of Ritz Crackers.
The Art Market continues to this day, Buying & Selling scraps of Paper whose images are available to everyone for free, for thousands or millions of dollars.
The Dot.com boom that started in the late 1980’s, persisted for nearly 20 years.
The Housing Market exists on a roller coaster with 20 year cycles.
The Fashion Market is Self Renewing. As long as people remain convinced that The Naked Human body is disgusting to look at, Fashion will persist.
The Automobile Market will collapse soon. What might save it is a new generation of genuinely unique designs that deviate sharply from the current trend towards blander & blander boxes with wheels.

i was thinking some time ago that devices like that iPad or ‘Smart Phones’ would save the computer industry by making ‘computers’ easy to use by changing how & what they do.
Computers have always been pretty useless for everything,
Then; around 2000, they became Internet Portals,
And Now iPads & Their Ilk, are Ostensibly a Paperless Media Viewer.
The New Magazine.
Just as i had once Hoped that Linux would be The New Operating System,
But no longer do,
i am becoming a little skeptical of iPads.
‘Smart Phones’ are phones.
i don’t believe that they’re being used for anything else.
Except maybe as MP3 Players.
The Music Industry is here to stay, and The Medium for Music Storage is constantly changing, So in so much as Phones & iPads ( and such ) can act as MP3 Players, they will continue in that venue.

i just think that there is something deeply remarkable about ones ability to ‘flip through’ the pages of a book.
You may be able to do very productive searches through a digital book,
But until they really emulate ‘Flipping’, The Popularity of Digital Books & Magazines will remain a novelty.

Another thing about computers that i find very irritating is Speech Recognition & Simulation.
One of my Grand Fantasies is being able to call up any Company or Information Kiosk, or Use this with your home computer or iPad, And ask a detailed, Plain English Question, Or hold a Conversation with an Avatar that can answer any question &/or Follow the train of thought within several disjointed sentences.
One Kooky Application for this would something like a Sex-Line, But Lonely People could call up one of these Avatars and simply, intelligently converse for hours on end for a few dollars per hour.
This technology would mean that everyone’s home computer, smart phone or iPad would become their ‘Best Friend’.
This could possibly be; Very Bad.
Or Very Good.
The Experiment would have to be performed to really see which it is.
You would also be able to ask such an Avatar to analyze a vast amount of data within very specific parameters to ask questions like; Have Humans actually landed on the moon? Who really killed Princess Diana? What is The Most Healthy Diet?
And Connected to a Simple Digital Camera or Video Camera; What is this rash on my leg?
The Problem with this Fantasy is That Speech Recognition has been promised to us for The past 50 years ( or Substantially longer ) and It has remained amazingly elusive.
Or Suppressed.
i Think; Suppressed.
i believe that many, many technologies are being suppressed.
But how?
How could any agency or government or group suppress technologies that could easily be introduced over the internet?
If this were so; It would mean that this Agency had control over the entire Internet.
It has long been ‘Wildly’ Rumored that The NSA was listening in on EVERY phone call made within the US or The World, depending upon which account you were reading.
According to this ‘Myth’; The NSA has had the ability to use it’s computers to listen in and intelligently decypher what is being said by anyone using a telephone since the 1970s.
This seems crazy; But it does explain a lot.

It was disclosed a few years ago that The FBI had a Facial Recognition Technology that they successfully used during a Rose Bowl Football Game to catch Dead-Beat Dads.
i was very skeptical of this; for the simple reason that if this were really available, private industry would get a hold of it, and we would see it being used everywhere. And this did not happen.
It is now widely understood that The FBI never did have anything like this.

This same phenomena is frequently seen in ‘News Reels’ of Japanese Robots.
They are shown doing the most amazing things, which one would think would become ubiquitous in our daily lives, and it doesn’t.
Neither are we privy to actually ever seeing these robots in person.
Japan is supposedly pioneering the most robots in the world, yet during it’s recent catastrophe with it’s destroyed nuclear reactor, no robots were available to go in and perform simple repairs - - Humans had to be sacrificed to turn a valve or pull a hose into the burnt out building.
And the Robot Toys that are available to us, are the same very lame robots that were being sold to us 30 years ago.

Concerning Speech Recognition;
Every 2 o 3 years a new product or series of products will come out claiming to understand ordinary human speech. And a few months later, it will fade away, and we’ll wait another 2 or 3 years for the next cycle to begin.
What is so remarkable; It that at the beginning of each cycle, for the past 20 years, the capability of this technology at the beginning of each new cycle is the same.
That is; Speech Recognition at the beginning this cycle in 1980, was the same capability as the cycle that began in 2010.
It’s not advancing. At all.
And the same applies to Speech Simulation. The best Avatars in 2010 sound only very marginally better than the ones in 1970.

Is it that Technology along these venues not advancing, or is it more reasonable to presume that they’re being suppressed by some omnipotent agency that operates far outside any conventional government?

Dream Considerations
Prompted from Wm Jas' : Dream experiment methodology
First : i don’t for a moment believe that dreams are just random noise percolating up from our brain stems.
i have at various times believe that dreams are :
gawd’s sketch book
alternative, unused realities
the true reality, which is filled with large voids, and when we are ‘not dreaming’ in our disincarnated ‘dreaming’ form, we have wandered into these voids.
This true reality, that we visit in our dreams, also ‘explains’ why we become incarnated in the first place. In the true reality, our raw conscious selfs find it very difficult to navigate in this space, especially immature souls.
So we come here; To this faux reality, where everything is ‘nailed down’ and things happen in a comparatively sequential manner.
Using this faux reality, and visiting the true reality when we are sleeping ( it’s actually just the other way around ! ) we are eventually able to learn how to navigate & shape the true reality, and avoid the empty regions, to our benefit & comfort.

i am also very confused that our sleeping minds ( ? ) would go to what seems like an inordinate amount of trouble to create these fully formed realities.
For what purpose?
And most disturbingly;
Why is it that i am often in a dream, Aware that i am in a dream, Aware that there are very, very odd things going on around me, Or that i am able to fly ( in a particular way ) and it -seems perfectly normal- !

This particular kind of way of flying, that reoccurs from time to time, is that i’ll be running a long, then just tuck my legs up, and continue along floating off the ground. i’m unable to fly ‘up’, but this gliding is so real that upon awaking, i’m sure that i’ll be able to do this in the waking reality ! )

More generally; i am aware of the other ‘reality’ in which i can’t fly; But here in the dream, it seems truly real.
People that come back from near death experiences often say that they see colors that seem more real than the colors here are.
This is what a normal dream is like; The dream is real. It is more real than the other ( waking ) reality.

The other very disturbing thing is that while i am in a dream, or waking from a dream, the dream is very real, and i am experiencing this very real reality; And yet when i am fully awake; i usually forget what just happened to me.
Clearly; The Ego that is experiencing the dream, or consciousness, is a very different consciousness from the waking consciousness. The waking consciousness remembers things, the dreaming consciousness does not.
If the argument that consciousness doesn’t really do anything, holds any water, maybe it makes sense that the process of remembering things is closely related to ‘experiencing’ sensory events, and dreams do not create sensory events.
Their experiences come from somewhere else.
A real Dream Reality, or an internal fantasy reality.
Or more spiritually ( deep rationalization here ) the true consciousness that experiences dreams, is not a memory dependent conscious process.
The Raw ‘Real’ Consciousness is thought to lack many of the attributes of our Robot Consciousness in this ‘waking’ reality.
The Dream Consciousness; for example is thought to be unable to read, because reading is a Robot Activity related to our ‘physical’ bodies.
( Do you recall ever reading in your dreams ? )
This may be another reason that these Raw Conscious Entities choose to become incarnated; So that they can experience Memories and ... ( ? )

PreCognitive Dreams.
The Principle Problem with knowing/believing if a dream is or was a Precognitive dream is symbolism.
Is Dream (x) anyway related to Reality (y) ?
A very odd and troubling objection may be presented at this point,
In that; If you allow that Reality (y) may sometimes, but not always, be represented or symbolically rendered within Dream (x) as something very different . . .
Then :
When you very specifically Dream of (x) and Later Experience Reality (x),
In a 1 : 1 Contextual Structure - -
The Obvious Conclusion should be : i Dreamed (x) which was The Real (x).
If this occurred in a Precognitive Manner;
Then you would have undoubtedly : ‘Seen into The Future’.
But.
But if we return to our original Caveat that Dreams often Symbolically Represent things; Then It makes perfect sense that When your dream of a Cat that sometimes means A Woman or Car or Toaster or Your Childhood Fears or Your College Transcripts - -
Then; How can you be sure that When you dream of A Cat, It’s A Cat?
Statistically; You might expect that Cats are Cats sometimes, but not always.
So that when you dreamed of (x) and (x) happened - -
Maybe The Dream (x) was a Symbolic dream of (y) and that the reality (x) was a crazy unexpected fluke of chance !

It seems far more reasonable, that if you suspect that you are having Precognitive Dreams; You should ask:
What is The Functionality of These Dreams?
What is The Pragmatic Usefulness of These Dreams?

Some time ago; long before cell phones even existed, i was dreaming ( figuratively ) of a device that i called a CDC, A Compact Digital Companion. This idea grew out of my obsession with my HP48 Handheld Programmable Calculator, that i wanted to do much more than it did.
One of the functions of These CDCs would be to record everything that you did. It would in a mundane kind of way, keep track of your groceries and life style habits, and all this information would be available to statisticians & medical researchers, that your CDC would send to them, anonymously.
That is; The CDC would have An Artificial Sentient ‘Familiar’ within it, that would answer your phone calls, even pretending to be you from time to time.
So that when a Researcher called your CDC and requested information about your lifestyle, or what drugs your were taking, or what illness you were experiencing, your personal ‘familiar’ would send them this information, without letting them know that it pertained specifically to you, in order to protect your privacy, if you were concerned with these sorts of things.
It seems to me that if this functionality were available, It would no longer be necessary to use Placebo Text Groups for New Drugs, because you could survey huge numbers of people that are treating an ailment using hundreds or thousands of different approaches, and then statistically determine which of these diets & uses of recreational drugs was actually helping cure a given disease.

One Crazy Application may be of Checking for Precognitive Dreams by allowing interested parties, such as yourself, that would tell your CDC Familiar your dreams every morning, and it would then file it away, and over the next few days, weeks, months or years; Compare that dream to news events & the lives of individuals throughout the world.
Wouldn’t it be curious if several thousand recorded dreams, in real or symbolic forms ( The CDC Familiar would compare Dream structures, essentially ignoring irrelevant ‘things’ which may or may not represent ‘anything’ ) matched some substantially universally applicable ‘world event’, such as princesses diana’s car crash or 911.

Another application would be comparing personal lives to those living and recently dead to find cases of reincarnation.

One of my Evil ‘Mad Doctor’ Experiments that i suspect would absolutely prove ESP or Non-Linear Communications or whatever, If it hasn’t already, but should have...
Is The Phenomena of Separated Twins that are later reunited.
Wouldn’t it be fun to take some very healthy Fertilized Human Eggs and tease them apart as they’re first dividing, so as to create ‘Twins’, but do this many, many times, Creating Dozens & Dozens of this One ‘Person’.
Each would be completely autonomous, and a perfectly healthy fetus, that would then be implanted into a woman that is desirous of a child, but can’t have one in a conventional manner. Everything would be entirely on the up & up,
Except that they are getting one of these Super Twins.
It might even be arranged so that many of The Super Twins would be much older than some of the others, by freezing some of the embryos.
Then The Experiment would be terminated, all the records destroyed, and you’d just lean back and wait for a couple of these twins to discover one another by accident many years later, and then when it becomes news, more and more of the children or adults would come forward, and they would compare their lives.
The results would be very startling, or not.

MicroSoggy Prediction
re: MicroSoft's Recent Purchase of Skype for $8.56 billion in cash.
This is the best news imaginable for everyone that hates M$.
In 6 months; The technology of this company that they’ve just bought will be obsolete,
and M$ will own a 8_G$ Doorstop.
This was apparently noticed by The European Commission; As it has relaxed the requirements of the 2004 anti-trust order against Microsoft - The software megamonopoly no longer needs its behaviour watched by a full-time “monitoring trustee”
— In expectation that their efforts would soon be moot.

Any other company that has something like this, would develop it to keep pace with the industrial standards, but anyone that knows how M$ works, knows that M$ is incapable of Developing anything.
They Buy Technologies and then back engineer them to their lowest conceivable form.

i have suspected for quite a while that the internet is a hoax.
And by that i mean; The Internet is purported to be ( x ) and yet it is clearly not ( x ).
The Evidence for this is the countless times i have tried searching for some common thing,
and not found any evidence for it anywhere on the web.
The most egregious example of this is when i'm searching for an old classmate from high school and they have apparently no internet presence at all.
This may be, and probably is, the fault of the search engines, but they often turn up other obscure items that would be, should be, just as insignificant & undiscoverable.
What is more disturbing, is that while i am unable to find any references to 'Donald Robert Geng', That i went to school with—
There are No References to Any Other Donald Geng's*.
This phenomena is more acute with more common names, in which i would have expected dozens or thousands of hits.
Another explanation for this, May be that people of my generation haven't learned how to create an internet identity, but i find this hard to believe.
It is far more likely that they exist in some pseudonym form.
But returning to my latest bit of Evidence that there is something seriously wrong with the Internet;
Is that i was today, several days after the recent Arnold Schwarzenegger fiasco,
looking up some details of this to add to my list of Flash Celebrities, and discovered that while his housekeeper and their son has been revealed in pictures, the name of the son is still a secret.
i can't imagine how this could be?
There must be hundreds, if not thousands of people that know these people,
and one of them must be unscrupulous enough to come forward with this information.
i can easily see how a major new organization, may, for whatever reasons; be reluctant to reveal the name of this 14 year old child,

Where is The Truth ?
i have been troubled a little lately by this idea:
If i really did want to know what is going on in the world,
If i really did want to find out what is true,
Who is telling the truth? Who is lying?
How would i do that?
If we fall back for a moment to the well worn adage;
A man with one clock knows what time it is,
While a man with many clocks never knows what time it is.
The Learned Assumption here is that the man with many clocks has a better idea of ‘About’ what time it is, While the man with only only clock may be severely deluded as to what time it is.
But this begs the further two assumptions that
Concerning The man with one clock; His clock is randomly set,
While the man with many clocks, Each clock is presumably wrong, but nearly correct.
It is much more likely; ( ??? ) that all these clocks, may be either accurate or inaccurate.
And that the man with many clocks, will only be very confused as to which is more accurate than the others.
Shifting this to The News of The World;
Where -Every- News Agency has a very distinct Agenda for how they wish to shape the news to fit their own best interests, which may not at all be the best interests of their principle listeners,
The Man that listens to many radio or television newscasts will -Most Reasonably- end up being entirely confused at the end of any given day.
The people that listen to only Rush Limbaugh or NPR may Know exactly what is going on in the world, But they differ only from the man that switches channels all day, in that they’re not as aware that they are as confused as anyone else.
The Only real difference between these two classes is that while everyone is confused,
Some are more aware of being confused.
The Third Class may be those that listen to many different sources and make a very determined effort to sort it all out and decide for themselves what is true and what is substantially less true.
Are these people really any less confused?
Or are they just editing together their own Rush Limbaugh Program?
The Trouble with Information concerning Flying Saucers,
And i use this Topic because the Assertion i am about to make is made much ‘Clearer’ by It’s Extremism,
Is that The Really True Bits hidden within The Stupendous Sea of DisInformation Regarding Flying Saucers, Is =NOT= The most Reasonable or Sensible Bits,
But in all likelihood, The Most Absurd.
That’s The Nature of Flying Saucers.
They -Presumably- Represent a Technology hundreds or Thousands of Years beyound us, Created by Brains that evolved in a Completely different Environment, Having Taken Millions of Different Evolutionary Branches than our own Development of Sentience.
Some may like to believe that Physics are going to be the same everywhere in the universe,
But the more astute observer should be aware that there are many different approaches for how to make a chair or wagon, each of which is dependent upon the original shape of the user.
In the more ‘Ordinary’ World of News;
What test or criteria might reasonably be applied to ‘have a good sense of knowing’ What is True?
Just how Strange is The World?
How much to Governments lie to us?
Is there some Grandiose Truth that they are keeping from us?
And how much is this flavoring what they are telling us?
The End Point is;
If i really was interested in What is going on in The World,
Just how would i find out?
Extensive Reading is only going to confuse me more.
What is the Alternative?
To stick my head in the sand and ignore the world.
Yes.
i think that’s it.
With the tiny caveat that ‘in the sand’ is interpreted to mean;
‘Stick to my own experiences’.
The world for me; Is what is happening to me.
Is crime out of control in the world?
Is crime out of control in my neighborhood?
Are Flying Saucers taking over the world?

Maybe it is sufficient, and reasonable to take on a view of the world,
As being a small world, that i have personal knowledge of,
And just ignore what the news is saying.
What the news is saying, more often than not, completely contradicts what i know, from personal experiences, to be true.
This would mean that my personal world is very, very different from The Rest of The World,
Or - - The News Agencies, And the Government & Zealots are lying to me.
Which is more reasonable?
Another aspect of this is that many ‘Gullible Skeptics’ insist that we apply ‘Occam’s Razor’ to What we are supposed to most readily accept as ’True’.
But what Occam’s Razor seems to demand; Is that we most readily accept the lies that we are already most familiar with.
The Real trouble with Heretical Truths, Is that they are Unfamiliar.
If Jebus were to appear before you and tell you something that tangentially broke from What was generally assumed to be his populist teachings,
How would you decide if what he was saying Now, Right in front of you,
Was True or Not?
Think Locally; Act Locally.
Let the World take care of itself.
Still Another aspect of this;
Is When a Politician comes to you and says that an important Vote is coming up,
And it’s important that you vote in a particular way.
Very often; The Voter has No Idea what they are voting for;
But let us assume for this example that Voter understands the Issue in all it’s details.
But The Politician wants you to Vote Against Your Own Best Interests For The Benefit of The Community.
This is Completely Wrong.
Don’t EVER do that.
That’s how Voting & ‘Democracy’ Works,
You Vote for What you Personally Believe,
And what is In Your Best Interests.
If you vote the way the politician wants you to vote;
You are casting additional votes for their best interests.
This is why many dictators love to pretend they are governing a democracy.

Santa Claus Recently Murdered by Navy Seals.
i have believed for some time that Osama BL was no more real than The Easter Bunny, Sherlock Holmes or Socrates, So it came as something of a surprise to hear that this fictional character was recently murdered.
Curiously; The Murders are also fictional, and the body has mysteriously disappeared, like a Jedi Knight.

Why i Hate : 'Hate Crimes' !
i posted something awhile ago on ‘Hate Crimes’
And Wm Jas was saying that it was confusing.
or vague or something.
And since i have such a great respect for both Wm Jas
And have such a exasperation for The Laws Regarding ‘Hate Crimes’
i will try to tackle it again.
Hate Crimes / Or Laws that attempt to Prosecute Those that Perpetrate Hate Crimes are usually applied to People that are attacking Various Minorities, Racial or Religious Groups,
But in Theory; One would think that it should include Everyone.
Absolutely Everyone could conceivably be Targeted for A Reason that would be Inclusive to What Hate Crimes were Intended to Target.
My Problem with Hate Crimes
Is that; It doesn’t.
That is; Would it be reasonable for a County Prosecutor to Use The Hate Crime Legislation to Charge someone for Cutting in Front of someone at a Supermarket Checkout line, If the person that they were cutting in front of, Was Ugly?
Could you be charged with A Hate Crime for Persecuting Ugly People?
My contention would be; No.
And The reason for this is; Ugly People don’t have a Lobby to Fight for Their ’Special’ Rights.
It has recently come into the popular Vernacular that Gays ( Homosexuals ) are trying to obtain ‘Special’ Rights. These special rights include things like, all the rights that married people enjoy, or the right to be treated with a modicum of dignity in public situations.
There are Two Standards of Social Courtesy at Play Hers.
1) The Way Strangers Treat Strangers.
2) The Way Rude People Treat ‘Selected Groups’
This is where ‘Hate Crimes’ come into Play.
If Rude People are rude to Blacks or Jews or Women, All of which have fought long and hard for their equality to Land Owning Men, Then this rudeness is Considered Rude for =The Wrong Reasons!=.
3) The Way Rude People Treat ‘UnRepresented Groups’
This is The Subtle Point.
Rude people are allowed ( Allowed Mind You ) to Be Rude to UnRepresented Groups with Impunity. Bullies are allowed to pick on Nerds & Geeks at School and The Teachers & Other Administrators are loath ‘To Get Involved’. Everyone is Aware that Nerds & Geeks are picked on by Bullies, but for whatever reasons, They remain UnRepresented. They are Not Yet Considered ‘Protected’ by These ‘Hate Crimes’.
The Bullies like to believe that These UnRepresented Groups are going To Somehow Obtain These ‘Normalized’ Rights, of being treated ‘Normally’ ( As Strangers Treat Strangers ) And because The Bullies ( Amazingly ! ) Understand The Subtly of This, They assert that These ‘Normal Rights’ are ’Special Rights’.
That if Gays or Nerds or Geeks or Ugly People were to Obtain A Legal Venue for Being Treated Normally; That would Constitute An Advantage to them of having ‘Special Rights’.
It’s Normal for Bullies to be Rude to Ugly People, And if there Right to abuse Ugly people were taken from them, That would certainly be a Very Special Situation.
The Rude People would be Denied Their Constitutional & Socially Tacit Rights to Abuse These UnRepresented Groups.
Lets go over this one more time.
Normal People
( Sufficiently Bland & Tepid so that they draw no Attention from Anyone )
Enjoy a certain Ability to go about their daily lives without being persecuted or bothered by The Bullies.
Ugly People are routinely Bullied and No One Cares.
The Bullies take that ‘Status Quo’ and say: That’s Normal.
The Gays want The Rights ( And Invisibility ) of The Normals when out in Public.
The Bullies say that that Elevation from A State of Routine Persecution to The Sate of Invisibility ( That the Normals enjoy ) Constitute a Class of Special Rights that would have to Applied to them.
Essentially; For The Gays to be treated like the normals, they would require Special Compensation or a Exception to This Tacitly Social Rule of Allowing Bullying to Gays, To prevent them from being persecuted like Ugly People.
It’s Not that the Bullies have provided the normals with these Special Exceptions to keep them from being bullied, they just don’t want to, because there’s no particular reason to. Normals are Invisible.
Only people with easily Identified Uniqueness are subject to Bullying.
Historically;
Various Groups have recognized that they are subject to Bullying by The Majority Bullies or Greater Status Holders, although the Bullies may not have been a Technical Majority.
The English in India were certainly a Minority,
Yet they held a Majority Bullying Position.
Eventually; The Indian’s stood up for their ‘Ordinary’ Human Rights and evicted the British from India.
Here in The US of The A’s,
( As a side note; It drives me crazy that this country doesn’t have a name,
only a description. )
Anyways...
Here in The Us of the A’s;
The Land Owners, Children, Women, Negroes, Aboriginal North Americans, The Hispanics & Gays have organized Lobbies to Fight for Their ‘Ordinary’ Rights and were Eventually, More or Less, Given these Rights.
The bit that really annoys me; Is that at every ReCalibration like this;
The Legislative Branches have Never been able to step back and say;
“You know; Maybe =Everyone= deserves these Ordinary Rights!”
But no.
Every group has to start all over from Scratch and come up from the bottom.
And This is My Point.
The Legislative Attempts to Protect Certain =Specific= Groups from Persecution
DO NOT
Protect those Groups, As - - So Much ALLOW The continued Persecution of Groups that HAVEN’T YET OBTAINED RECOGNITION OF THESE ORDINARY RIGHTS.
It’s still perfectly reasonable for Bullies to Persecute Fat &/or Ugly People.
And They can still pick on Dweebs, Nerds & The Meek.
That’s what the ‘Hate Crimes’ Legislation does;
It gives Permission to The Bullies to Continue Persecuting these groups that are Still UnRepresented.

There is another side to this as well.
There is a Faction within our society that is confused,
or Possibly they are the reasonable ones... ( ? )
That want everyone convicted of every little crime, to be either executed, banished or incarcerated forever.
The force opposing them are laws &/or judges that want to avoid filling up the prisons with jay walkers.
So Prosecutors; Evil Bastards that they are; Have found a way around the limitation of laws that treat minor crimes as minor.
Very often; A more serious crime is considered Serious, But not Serious Enough for Prosecutors, So they have managed to get Legislators to attack this problem from the back door by Creation a Whole Slew of ‘Crimes’ ( Like Hate Crimes ) that can easily be ‘Added On’ to Other Crimes, Like Sprinkles on IceCream.
Drug & Sex ( Personal Space ) Crimes have been targeted with these ‘Bonus’ Crimes.
Here are Some Examples of these are Perfunctory Bonus Penalties.
Some one accused of Drug Distribution may have all their property confiscated prior to a successful Prosecution.
People accused of Sexual Abuse are put onto Sex Registries that are impossible to be removed from.
Middle Easterners ( And many others ) are put on a No Fly List which has no Authority which Administers this list, so that it is impossible to question why you were put on the list, or how to be removed from it.
It is curious that the people creating & passing these laws are the ones that are often the perpetrators of these crimes. They believe ( rightly so ) that their positions will insulate them from prosecution, but every once in a while,
one of them is sacrificed to protect the others.

And when they are; It is rarely the case that they are subjected to the sprinkles effect that prosecutors love to use on the still unrepresented.

was hearing that The MLK Parade Bomber ( Kevin Harpham ) was being charged with Hate Crimes.
The Question i have is: What is The Anti-Thesis of These Hate Crimes?
When would they Not be Applicable?
Would it be perfectly alright to blow up ‘Ordinary’ People?
The Phrase that they keep using is; “What it really was.”
Or : “It wasn’t Just left there” [ On The Parade Route ]
Their assertion is that Kevin wasn’t just trying to blow people up,
But that he was doing it for a reason.
And the reason was; Kevin had derogatory feelings for Non-Europeans.
What is Opposite of That?
They seem to be saying; If Kevin was just trying to blow people up for no particular reason; That wouldn’t be a crime at all, or perhaps a very minor crime.
Blowing people up, is usually alright.
So they have to find something else to charge Kevin with.
The Real Crime.
In this case;
The Real Crime is attacking a group that has a lobbying group.

The Bullies like to believe that These UnRepresented Groups are going To Somehow Obtain These ‘Normalized’ Rights, of being treated ‘Normally’ ( As Strangers Treat Strangers ) And because The Bullies ( Amazingly ! ) Understand The Subtly of This, They assert that These ‘Normal Rights’ are ’Special Rights’.
That if Gays or Nerds or Geeks or Ugly People were to Obtain A Legal Venue for Being Treated Normally; That would Constitute An Advantage to them of having ‘Special Rights’.
It’s Normal for Bullies to be Rude to Ugly People, And if there Right to abuse Ugly people were taken from them, That would certainly be a Very Special Situation.
The Rude People would be Denied Their Constitutional & Socially Tacit Rights to Abuse These UnRepresented Groups.
Lets go over this one more time.
Normal People
( Sufficiently Bland & Tepid so that they draw no Attention from Anyone )
Enjoy a certain Ability to go about their daily lives without being persecuted or bothered by The Bullies.
Ugly People are routinely Bullied and No One Cares.
The Bullies take that ‘Status Quo’ and say: That’s Normal.
The Gays want The Rights ( And Invisibility ) of The Normals when out in Public.
The Bullies say that that Elevation from A State of Routine Persecution to The Sate of Invisibility ( That the Normals enjoy ) Constitute a Class of Special Rights that would have to Applied to them.
Essentially; For The Gays to be treated like the normals, they would require Special Compensation or a Exception to This Tacitly Social Rule of Allowing Bullying to Gays, To prevent them from being persecuted like Ugly People.
It’s Not that the Bullies have provided the normals with these Special Exceptions to keep them from being bullied, they just don’t want to, because there’s no particular reason to. Normals are Invisible.
Only people with easily Identified Uniqueness are subject to Bullying.
Historically;
Various Groups have recognized that they are subject to Bullying by The Majority Bullies or Greater Status Holders, although the Bullies may not have been a Technical Majority.
The English in India were certainly a Minority,
Yet they held a Majority Bullying Position.
Eventually; The Indian’s stood up for their ‘Ordinary’ Human Rights and evicted the British from India.
Here in The US of The A’s,
( As a side note; It drives me crazy that this country doesn’t have a name,

Here in The Us of the A’s;
The Land Owners, Children, Women, Negroes, Aboriginal North Americans, The Hispanics & Gays have organized Lobbies to Fight for Their ‘Ordinary’ Rights and were Eventually, More or Less, Given these Rights.
The bit that really annoys me; Is that at every ReCalibration like this;
The Legislative Branches have Never been able to step back and say;
“You know; Maybe =Everyone= deserves these Ordinary Rights!”
But no.
Every group has to start all over from Scratch and come up from the bottom.
And This is My Point.
The Legislative Attempts to Protect Certain =Specific= Groups from Persecution
DO NOT
Protect those Groups, As - - So Much ALLOW The continued Persecution of Groups that HAVEN’T YET OBTAINED RECOGNITION OF THESE ORDINARY RIGHTS.
It’s still perfectly reasonable for Bullies to Persecute Fat &/or Ugly People.
And They can still pick on Dweebs, Nerds & The Meek.
That’s what the ‘Hate Crimes’ Legislation does;
It gives Permission to The Bullies to Continue Persecuting these groups that are Still UnRepresented.

There is another side to this as well.
There is a Faction within our society that is confused,
or Possibly they are the reasonable ones... ( ? )
That want everyone convicted of every little crime, to be either executed, banished or incarcerated forever.
The force opposing them are laws &/or judges that want to avoid filling up the prisons with jay walkers.
So Prosecutors; Evil Bastards that they are; Have found a way around the limitation of laws that treat minor crimes as minor.
Very often; A more serious crime is considered Serious, But not Serious Enough for Prosecutors, So they have managed to get Legislators to attack this problem from the back door by Creation a Whole Slew of ‘Crimes’ ( Like Hate Crimes ) that can easily be ‘Added On’ to Other Crimes, Like Sprinkles on IceCream.
Drug & Sex ( Personal Space ) Crimes have been targeted with these ‘Bonus’ Crimes.
Here are Some Examples of these are Perfunctory Bonus Penalties.
Some one accused of Drug Distribution may have all their property confiscated prior to a successful Prosecution.
People accused of Sexual Abuse are put onto Sex Registries that are impossible to be removed from.
Middle Easterners ( And many others ) are put on a No Fly List which has no Authority which Administers this list, so that it is impossible to question why you were put on the list, or how to be removed from it.
It is curious that the people creating & passing these laws are the ones that are often the perpetrators of these crimes. They believe ( rightly so ) that their positions will insulate them from prosecution, but every once in a while,
one of them is sacrificed to protect the others.

And when they are; It is rarely the case that they are subjected to the sprinkles effect that prosecutors love to use on the still unrepresented.

The News Item that just recently ‘Set Me Off’
was hearing that The MLK Parade Bomber ( Kevin Harpham ) was being charged with Hate Crimes.
The Question i have is: What is The Anti-Thesis of These Hate Crimes?
When would they Not be Applicable?
Would it be perfectly alright to blow up ‘Ordinary’ People?
The Phrase that they keep using is; “What it really was.”
Or : “It wasn’t Just left there” [ On The Parade Route ]
Their assertion is that Kevin wasn’t just trying to blow people up,
But that he was doing it for a reason.
And the reason was; Kevin had derogatory feelings for Non-Europeans.
What is Opposite of That?
They seem to be saying; If Kevin was just trying to blow people up for no particular reason; That wouldn’t be a crime at all, or perhaps a very minor crime.
Blowing people up, is usually alright.
So they have to find something else to charge Kevin with.
The Real Crime.
In this case;
The Real Crime is attacking a group that has a lobbying group.

Another Whiny Pet Peeve... !
One Long Standing Bête Noires is My Own Families Unwillingness to Concede that there is some underlying causality to my inability to accomplish anything.
That is; i consider myself a reasonably hard working person in most ways - -
( that is; Aside from my Drawings, which i admit, i am a very lazy artist.
( but this may have something to do with ‘The Other Thing’. ) )
And i have an IQ of something like 130, and i had a GPA in College of 3.6;
But i’m never able to get anything done.
And i seem to attract these weird Job Related Fiascos.
And i very strongly prefer to avoid contact with other people.
So; It has seemed to me for a very long time, long before i was diagnosed with a schizoid personality disorder, or asperger’s or whatever;
There was something wrong with me.
Before these labels were available to me;
i thought of myself as a loner or explained this as my inability to feel ‘Loneliness’.
i find it -Deeply Incomprehensible- that this was not identified when i was in the 1-3 grades.
If anything; i have a very vivid recollection of an event that happened when i may have been in the first or second grade, when some unusual behaviour was identified, and rather than work to help me become more conventionally adjusted ( ? ); My teachers & mother simply blamed me for being a bad child and when i replied by becoming far more dysfunctional, they seemed content that at least i was no longer behaving ‘Incorrectly’.
The circumstances were that i was spending all my playground time on ‘the girls’ side of the playground. At Whittier Grade School, the Girls & Boys play areas were very strongly segregated; Such that the girls area was on the south side of the building, and the boys had the much larger north side.
i was told that i couldn’t play on the girls side, where i was actively playing in many different activities. When i was no longer allowed to play on that side, i no longer played with anyone. i would spend all my time, completely alone, standing in a corner, or engaging in one of my favorite activities, rubbing my hands along the cement, until they felt numb and funny.
This; My Teachers & Mother thought; Was more socially acceptable.
So now; Some many years after being diagnosed as having a schizoid personality disorder or Asperger’s, i am thinking that i must have had some other learning disability as well.
i’ve always been a terrible reader. i like reading short things, but have always had a great deal of difficulty focusing on or concentrating on a novel or even a magazine article.
And i am a terrible speller. No matter how many times the spell checker will correct me for using an i-e combination incorrectly; i am unable to learn their proper usage in all but a few cases.

When i was little; The Age of Learning Disabilities was still 20 years away, And Asperger’s wouldn’t be identified for at least another 15 years, So that there is a certain reasonable logic in allowing that my teachers didn’t have a label for my dysfunctionality, and having determined to their satisfaction that i wasn’t actually mentally retarded, they used the only category that they had available to them,
which was that i was lazy.
My Mother always bought into that.
And i like to think that i lived up to her every expectation.
But what annoys me nowadays;
Is that whenever i suggest that maybe i have, or had, an undiagnosed learning disability of some kind, My Mother & Father, Sister and Aunt Beverly respond with a very loud and unambiguous, clearly delineated ‘Hurumpth!’.
It is not at all subtle.
My theory on this is that if they were to acknowledge that maybe i’m not fully & consciously responsible for my inability to get anything done ( other than just plain laziness ), It would mean that my parents had ‘let me down’ or been ‘bad parents’.
And of course; They are loath to do that.
And now that both my Mother & Father are dead,
There is a sense of Unrequited Acknowledgment that i was trying to be good.
It annoys me that everyone thinks i am just lazy.

FAKE !!!
Kiddie Pool Diver ( Click for Article )
i saw this guy ( Darren Taylor ( Professor Splash ) )
On the telly awhile ago,
And noted that he'd placed the pool on a foam rubber pad,
Which of course; is horrific cheating !!!
Plus, if it's a small pool, as the child's pool description suggests,
And he put out his arms and legs, they would catch along the inflated rim,
Which is what he'd actually be falling onto.
The foot of water would be nearly irrelevant.
A more honest feat of falling into shallow water,
Would be a sufficiently large enough pool so that he would miss the rims,
And this pool would be resting on a solid earth base,
With maybe a grassy middle layer of no more than 6 inches of negligently mowed lawn,
With the pool on top of that. Otherwise; He's not falling into a pool of water,
But an air mattress on a foam mattress on an unknown surface below those.
It's a very misleading & dubious Guinness Record.
It shames all The Flipper limbed Carnival Children
& Month long Riding Unicyclists.

Clean Up of Old Rants
i have a Rant File on my Computer which i don't Clean Out ( Post to This Blog ) as often as i should, and occasionally it overflows.
Many of these Items are Very Undeveloped.

Gawd! i hate journalists.
Partly because they just aren't journalists,
They're just newsreaders.
The Government or Their Vast International Military/Industrial/Entertainment/BreakfastCerals Complex hands them something to read, and they read it.
And this isn't just local ( News ) Organizations, It's all of them. Everywhere.
In a Recent Story about The Russian Spies; Sleeper Agents as it was, were described on ABC National News as one agent being; "placed in a job as a real estate agent" and another ...
Ack! i forget the actual phrases they used...!
Look On The Internet for Stories on this...
It was clear that they were reading straight from news releases put out by the government prosecutors.

There was another story today about an alleged child molester. This mother was turned in by an internet viewer; of her shenanigans, somewhere in Europe ( ??? ).
So anyway, The point being was that the newsreaders refused to disclose exactly what she was accused of. NeverMind that they showed her face and revealed her name & where she lived, thereby disclosing the identities of her children, the victims ( ? ), But the newsreaders replaced pertinent details of actual news with vague hysterical comments such as; "We can't tell you what she was accused of, because it's just to horrible, it's the most disgusting & horrible thing i've ever read."
The point of that... and this is done routinely. ( This is a standard operating news reading propaganda tool... )
...And that is; They create a template for what they are saying is an actual news story with actual identified people, and then allow the listener/viewer to simply make the whole story!
The News Viewer is told this is A Real New Story, and you can just fill in what happened with whatever you want. And thereafter; The Viewer will happily go out the next day believing that they have a thorough and accurate understanding of what actually occurred.

Another Crazy News Reader Propaganda Tool is to have a story of A Bank Robber, or other some such criminal activity,
And show a picture of the accused.
But this picture will be a tiny, tiny image, out of focus and grainy, with no attempt made to enlarge or enhance it any way.
So that Effectively; It could be anyone.
Why do they do this?
It is my theory that The News Reading Arm of The Fascist Local Governments are doing this to Invite all The Snoopy Dorothy's and Busy Betty's to call in with 'Tips', suggesting that all the suspicious characters in their neighborhood might be The Bank Robber.
This gives the Fascist Local Government a Renewable Source File of All The Odd Eddie's that aren't fitting in.

One of my principle arguments against Evolution, without a directional principle,
i.e., The Intelligent Designer, Is The Time Frames for The Development of People from Sponges, and from Shrews to People.
The PreCambrian Explosion of Life, A very mysterious period in which All
( + some more that have since become extinct )
Animal Types suddenly came into existence in just a few millions of years. In All the millions of years since then, No New Major Animal Groups have evolved or been designed.
These groups are NOT Birds & Mammals, which Have come into existence comparatively recently, but Vertebrates & Insects, Mollusks & A Wide Variety of Multilegged creatures.
Just Concerning ourselves with The Vertebrates, which most people think of when you say; Animal, It is very curious that about 560 million years ago, the most primitive Vertebrates, which resembled flat worms at that time, came from sponges just a few million years earlier. Then 560 million years later you have People.
Then there is the small problem of the Dinosaur Era. This lasted for about 200 Million years, during which time, Mammals came into existence, but didn’t make much headway. They essentially started out as shrews and 200 million years later, they were still shrews.
It was only after the Dinosaurs were exterminated 65 million years ago that the mammals took off.
So;
Subtracting Those 200 million years from 560, leaves 360 million years from sponges to People.
Given that Each Individual Species Varies Widely in how long it remains One Species, that is able to freely reproduce with one another, A Wild Guess needs to be posited as to how long we will allow for each Species to have remained A Unique Step.
That is; During Each Unique Step, No Substantial Evolution was taking place. There may have been some minor improvements to this or that, but since they were still reproducing with their cousins that didn’t have these improvements, Any such advances would have waxed & wained over the length of The Unique Species’ Existence.
Some Animals seem to go for Very long Stretches as a Unique Species, such as Ants & Sharks, but other animals may have jumped from Species to Species in only a few hundreds of thousands of years or even less.
So let us say that on average; Each Unique Species, Each Step, Lasted 100,000 years.
That’s 1/10th of a Million.
10 Steps per Million Years.
So that Sponges evolved into People in 3,600 Steps.
Does that seem like enough to you?
And when you consider that Shrews evolved into People in 65 Million years.
That’s 650 Steps.
And i believe that i’m being very generous in allowing 100,000 year per step.
It is actually much more likely that each Unique Species lasted for about a million years,
Which would only allow for 65 Steps, from Shrews to People or 360 steps from Sponges to People,
Which is just ridiculous.

Conversation with Local Pastor Concerning the Nicene Creed
This pastor ( ? ) told me that the lutheran interpretation of Christ descending into Hell was that Jesus died and was sent or went willingly to The Realm of Satan & his minions.
In The Magazine ‘Plain Truth’ which i don’t think is being published anymore, There was an article that suggested that there are three distinct kinds of hell, that are all referred to in the bible & torah as simple -hell-.
The Three ( Four ) kinds:
Dead in the Ground. Inert NonBiological Goo. ( Sans Bacteria )
The Pit of Armageddon where bad souls are burnt into nonexistence
The Pit of Armageddon where bad souls are tormented for all eternity
The Home of Satan & His Minions
Given that Jesus died and was resurrected after three days,
With no mention of what he was doing for these three days,
It makes far more sense to me that Jesus simply died and was an inert corpse in the ground for 3 days.
But this is rather hard to reconcile with the assumption that Jesus was gawd,
How can Gawd die for 3 days?
It also begs the question of how Jesus died at all.
The entire premise of his being crucified was to act as a surrogate sacrifice for our sins, But if he never really ( ? ) suffered or died; Then what was the point?
This is also a common theological mistake that i find inexcusable. And that is; JudeoChristianity ( And others ) Consider this World of Humans, The real World, With Heaven & Hell Subsets that exist above & below us. It is far more reasonable, Given the elemental religious assumptions, that Heaven is the True Reality, With Earth & Hell subsets, or virtual, realities of Heaven. Given this; Jesus would have visited this imaginary world, got into a finite amount of mischief, then left with virtually little muss & fuss.
Plus: The Entire Idea of Sacrificing ( x ) for ( y ) seems very hokey to me.
But the second curious part of this is that when i tried to bring up this discussion with my relatives, i was met with blank stares.

i don’t often have horrific violent dreams, but i had two last night.
One was chiefly populated by giant machines that tore people apart, and peaked with two women being cut into pieces by train wheels. Specifically; One woman was hit by the train wheel in the back of head, near the spine and followed through to her forehead, cleanly cutting her head in two, leaving her still screaming as the train passed over her.
After i woke up from that; i had another dream in which i was doing odd jobs, particularly trying to fix a leaking faucet with a bandana, knowing all along that there were blood thirsty guards with long cross cut saws that showed little mercy for stragglers. We ( 3 of us ) needed to pass a series of guards to get away, and maybe there was a small chance of sneaking past them, but we took a little too long, and the man in front of me lost part of his arm, The cut was not a clean amputation, but a long cross cut that left most of the arm and half the hand dangling along it’s entire length.
i had just seen the movie _inception_ which included some light violence, particularly two characters being run over by a train, with the running over part being implied, and now shown.
But i like ultra violent films and they have never given me trouble before.
The kind of night mares i usually have are where the dream is usually trying to get me to solve an incomprehensible puzzle and i slip into a sectional loop that repeats itself over and over. Usually if i wake up from such a dream, i will fall immediately back into the loop, and it’s very maddening.

This got me to thinking about the universe again.
One of oldest concerns is that if at any given moment, The universe should have existed ( long before the so called big bang ) for an infinite amount of time; While thereafter, we have another infinite amount of time to finish what we’ve accomplished so far.
If anything; The big bank attempts to side step this paradox ( ? ) by denying that there was an infinite amount of time leading up to _now_.
The paradox is : Why does the universe, despite a considerable amount of complexity, seem so unfinished. Why are incarnate beings still struggling with elemental issues of moral activity?
The solution that i have long considered the most viable; Is that Evolution doesn’t cause anything to become more sophisticated; it just moves things around & around, sliding forward & backwards, So that an infinite amount of time may elapse, without showing any particular advancement along any given axis.
The universe may well have been considerably more sophisticated at some time in the past, and will again become a utopian paradise at some time in the future, but these peaks haven’t, and will not, follow any expected or predictable patterns.

The Other Solution that i considered last night; Is that the universe is advancing / developing in a more desirable pattern, and has long since allowed for worlds to evolve that are no longer dominated by animals eating animals, and sentient beings brutally savaging one another.
In such a world; The Sentient Beings have incarnated into mechanical forms that pull their energy/food from the zero-point ( ? ) field to power their consciousness, which then leaks the excess heat back into this elemental field, living off the convection currents. From this position; This community of minds have created a Ξ.x layer of reality that we apparently inhabit.
The remaining question is; The Sentient beings that supervise this ( these ) layers know that they’re not real, and that the suffering is not permanent, but why expose countless souls to our experiences of horror, pain, disease & torment?
Might it be, that the universe has nothing more to offer?
Boredom and the absence of viable alternatives have left their idyl hands & minds to explore the limits of mischief.

The Slow Lady : This happened quite awhile ago, and i am only mentioning it now because i made a note of it in my iPod Journal.
Apparently; From what i can remember, i was on the 25 going north to northtown or ? and there was a lady, oddly dressed, with a shopping cart or walker in front of her, and she was trying to take out her MP3 player. While she was trying to do this and hold on to the shopping cart ( Collapsible kind ) It kept slipping or tilting away from her, so i held it for her. She completely ignored me, but apparently acknowledged my participation by using both hands to get at and manipulate the MP3 player. What was particularly odd about this, was that she was -really- Slow. Really Slow. And when it came time for her to put the ear plugs in, she moved the left ear plug ( on my side ) up to her ear, and then ground it, and ground it, and ground it, twisting, and pushing, grinding it, over and over into her ear. Honestly; She must have taken 5 minutes on this one ear.

There should be a service, available through a local community network, for everyone to use, that is staffed by volunteer tangental thinkers.
These Tangental Thinkers would listen to peoples problems and come up with definitive solutions. After a time, All The Usual Problems would be asked and carefully and functionally indexed on an internet site, so that most problems would be simply and easily answered without and special effort, but The Tangental Staff would always be availably, hoping for the genuinely novel and curious problem to challenge them !

One of my Most Vibrant Pet Peeves is people that criticize children that are accomplishing something as these children having thrown away their childhoods.
Most children never have anything like an enjoyable childhood.
Most children’s childhoods are a freaking nightmare of taunting, bullies, pressures to conform, behave & suppress all their natural instincts, succeed at inane & incomprehensible goals, routinely enduring mindless criticism from their parents & teachers, And Television ideals that keep urging them to commit suicide.
But a child that can really become good at something when they are very young, and have their affairs managed during this time by responsible adults, they can have a real childhood that will be extended for their entire lives.

What’s the deal with The Crisis in Japan with their Nuclear Power Plant(s?
We’ve been hearing for years & years about Japan’s expertise with Robotics,
And now that they actually have a Crisis specifically Designed for Robots to Handle, They have No Robots !
Why are they sending people into the Melting Power plant, when they should be sending in Robots?
Plus; They should have buried the whole power plant with lead bowling balls a week or more ago, and yet they seem convinced that they’re going to just sweep it up and restart it at the beginning of next month ( ? )
And : If this is a Chernobyl Sized Accident and they have to seal this area off, how much of the entire island of Japan is going to be uninhabitable for next million years?
And And : Why aren’t these Nuclear Power Plants designed so that if the power is cut off, The Control Rods don’t fall by Gravity into Their Containment Block?
Or - If you’re basically an Alarmist; The Plant should be designed so that in any sort of crisis, The Fuel Rods would Fall, By Gravity, -Through- The Containment Block, into a More Heavily Shielded Pure Lead Containment Block. Pushing them back out and into operation would be the hard part, not getting them in there in the first place.

Dreaming in a Forgotten Language ( Reference to Wm Jaz Blog )
Dreaming in a Forgotten Language is; perhaps, rather like speaking in tongues, or speaking in a language forgotten from some previous life.
But my other initial impression of this dream recollection relates to an idea i had some time ago, in which i was speculating that evolution, or angelic engineers, created people ( homo sapiens ) to possess an iq of 100, and that those people that deviated from this point of perfection were ill-equipped to function in the perfect of all worlds Earth that we inhabit.
Being dumber is obviously a hindrance; the more dumber, the more likely the victim is to stumble into some ill fate by the poor exercise of simple expectant thinking.
But the smarter featherless parakeet is also at a terrible disadvantage in most real world situations, in that often see tigers in trees where none exists, and contrive of schemes that involve too many steps, any one of which may result in some terrible calamity.
This perhaps explains why many civilizations evolved so slowly, and those that did, because, perhaps, they encouraged the smarter hamsters to self actualize, contrived of many such schemes which ultimately burnt out those civilizations in just a few short centuries.
Dumb civilizations last for Millinia,
While Smart Civilizations rapidly evolve, Then implode from within.
Very seldom does a Civilization end at the hands of foreign barbarians,
It is much more frequently pushed apart from within, or starved to death because of climatic changes.

This Strikes me as one of the perfect test examples for what i would like every computer to be equipped with; And that is; A Simple, Easy to Use, Near English ( Native Language ) Programming Language.
With such a tool, The User could simply instruct the computer to search for all notable writers and other artists by some easily quantified criteria, then look up the biography of each, searching for any reference to smoking & all thesaurus related terms. Then The User would either refine these results or examine them in their snipped out form to determine whether the subject was an active smoker or not.
And while in the early days of computers, Every Computer DID have an Easy to use BASIC Programming Language included with it, The Software Industry has now removed all of these easy to use programming languages from the public domain.

In The Spirit of Full Disclosure; i am a fanatical non-smoker.
i grew up in an extended family with many aunts & uncles, all of whom were chain smokers, and upon this reflection; i can attest that none of them expressed any special talents or creative abilities.
If such an argument were to be made that smoking were an elemental factor to contributing to a ‘prepared mind’ to be =more= creative than one without this drug,
It seems to me that one might just as easily use the same argument for alcohol, schizophrenia, Any number of personality disorders, A violent temper, general sociopathology, acute rabies, harsh winters, unrequited love, head lice, syphilis or hyperopic vision.
Many have argued that Van Gogh painted as he did because he was ‘Mad’ and other’s have argued that he painted that way despite his Depression & Whatever else he may have suffered from.

It was clear that they were reading straight from news releases put out by the government prosecutors.

There was another story today about an alleged child molester. This mother was turned in by an internet viewer; of her shenanigans, somewhere in Europe ( ??? ).
So anyway, The point being was that the newsreaders refused to disclose exactly what she was accused of. NeverMind that they showed her face and revealed her name & where she lived, thereby disclosing the identities of her children, the victims ( ? ), But the newsreaders replaced pertinent details of actual news with vague hysterical comments such as; "We can't tell you what she was accused of, because it's just to horrible, it's the most disgusting & horrible thing i've ever read."
The point of that... and this is done routinely. ( This is a standard operating news reading propaganda tool... )
...And that is; They create a template for what they are saying is an actual news story with actual identified people, and then allow the listener/viewer to simply make the whole story!
The News Viewer is told this is A Real New Story, and you can just fill in what happened with whatever you want. And thereafter; The Viewer will happily go out the next day believing that they have a thorough and accurate understanding of what actually occurred.

Another Crazy News Reader Propaganda Tool is to have a story of A Bank Robber, or other some such criminal activity,

But this picture will be a tiny, tiny image, out of focus and grainy, with no attempt made to enlarge or enhance it any way.

One of my principle arguments against Evolution, without a directional principle,
i.e., The Intelligent Designer, Is The Time Frames for The Development of People from Sponges, and from Shrews to People.
The PreCambrian Explosion of Life, A very mysterious period in which All
( + some more that have since become extinct )
Animal Types suddenly came into existence in just a few millions of years. In All the millions of years since then, No New Major Animal Groups have evolved or been designed.
These groups are NOT Birds & Mammals, which Have come into existence comparatively recently, but Vertebrates & Insects, Mollusks & A Wide Variety of Multilegged creatures.
Just Concerning ourselves with The Vertebrates, which most people think of when you say; Animal, It is very curious that about 560 million years ago, the most primitive Vertebrates, which resembled flat worms at that time, came from sponges just a few million years earlier. Then 560 million years later you have People.
Then there is the small problem of the Dinosaur Era. This lasted for about 200 Million years, during which time, Mammals came into existence, but didn’t make much headway. They essentially started out as shrews and 200 million years later, they were still shrews.
It was only after the Dinosaurs were exterminated 65 million years ago that the mammals took off.
So;
Subtracting Those 200 million years from 560, leaves 360 million years from sponges to People.
Given that Each Individual Species Varies Widely in how long it remains One Species, that is able to freely reproduce with one another, A Wild Guess needs to be posited as to how long we will allow for each Species to have remained A Unique Step.
That is; During Each Unique Step, No Substantial Evolution was taking place. There may have been some minor improvements to this or that, but since they were still reproducing with their cousins that didn’t have these improvements, Any such advances would have waxed & wained over the length of The Unique Species’ Existence.
Some Animals seem to go for Very long Stretches as a Unique Species, such as Ants & Sharks, but other animals may have jumped from Species to Species in only a few hundreds of thousands of years or even less.
So let us say that on average; Each Unique Species, Each Step, Lasted 100,000 years.
That’s 1/10th of a Million.
10 Steps per Million Years.
So that Sponges evolved into People in 3,600 Steps.
Does that seem like enough to you?
And when you consider that Shrews evolved into People in 65 Million years.
That’s 650 Steps.
And i believe that i’m being very generous in allowing 100,000 year per step.
It is actually much more likely that each Unique Species lasted for about a million years,
Which would only allow for 65 Steps, from Shrews to People or 360 steps from Sponges to People,
Which is just ridiculous.

Conversation with Local Pastor Concerning the Nicene Creed
This pastor ( ? ) told me that the lutheran interpretation of Christ descending into Hell was that Jesus died and was sent or went willingly to The Realm of Satan & his minions.
In The Magazine ‘Plain Truth’ which i don’t think is being published anymore, There was an article that suggested that there are three distinct kinds of hell, that are all referred to in the bible & torah as simple -hell-.
The Three ( Four ) kinds:
Dead in the Ground. Inert NonBiological Goo. ( Sans Bacteria )
The Pit of Armageddon where bad souls are burnt into nonexistence
The Pit of Armageddon where bad souls are tormented for all eternity

It makes far more sense to me that Jesus simply died and was an inert corpse in the ground for 3 days.
But this is rather hard to reconcile with the assumption that Jesus was gawd,
How can Gawd die for 3 days?
It also begs the question of how Jesus died at all.
The entire premise of his being crucified was to act as a surrogate sacrifice for our sins, But if he never really ( ? ) suffered or died; Then what was the point?
This is also a common theological mistake that i find inexcusable. And that is; JudeoChristianity ( And others ) Consider this World of Humans, The real World, With Heaven & Hell Subsets that exist above & below us. It is far more reasonable, Given the elemental religious assumptions, that Heaven is the True Reality, With Earth & Hell subsets, or virtual, realities of Heaven. Given this; Jesus would have visited this imaginary world, got into a finite amount of mischief, then left with virtually little muss & fuss.
Plus: The Entire Idea of Sacrificing ( x ) for ( y ) seems very hokey to me.
But the second curious part of this is that when i tried to bring up this discussion with my relatives, i was met with blank stares.
And i thought; Was it too obvious to discuss, and which way was it too obvious?
And then i thought of Wm [Jaz] that is much smarter than me,
And fills his blogs with reams & reams of analytic discussions about things like this;
That are either very important or not at all important.

i don’t often have horrific violent dreams, but i had two last night.
One was chiefly populated by giant machines that tore people apart, and peaked with two women being cut into pieces by train wheels. Specifically; One woman was hit by the train wheel in the back of head, near the spine and followed through to her forehead, cleanly cutting her head in two, leaving her still screaming as the train passed over her.
After i woke up from that; i had another dream in which i was doing odd jobs, particularly trying to fix a leaking faucet with a bandana, knowing all along that there were blood thirsty guards with long cross cut saws that showed little mercy for stragglers. We ( 3 of us ) needed to pass a series of guards to get away, and maybe there was a small chance of sneaking past them, but we took a little too long, and the man in front of me lost part of his arm, The cut was not a clean amputation, but a long cross cut that left most of the arm and half the hand dangling along it’s entire length.
i had just seen the movie _inception_ which included some light violence, particularly two characters being run over by a train, with the running over part being implied, and now shown.
But i like ultra violent films and they have never given me trouble before.
The kind of night mares i usually have are where the dream is usually trying to get me to solve an incomprehensible puzzle and i slip into a sectional loop that repeats itself over and over. Usually if i wake up from such a dream, i will fall immediately back into the loop, and it’s very maddening.

This got me to thinking about the universe again.
One of oldest concerns is that if at any given moment, The universe should have existed ( long before the so called big bang ) for an infinite amount of time; While thereafter, we have another infinite amount of time to finish what we’ve accomplished so far.
If anything; The big bank attempts to side step this paradox ( ? ) by denying that there was an infinite amount of time leading up to _now_.
The paradox is : Why does the universe, despite a considerable amount of complexity, seem so unfinished. Why are incarnate beings still struggling with elemental issues of moral activity?
The solution that i have long considered the most viable; Is that Evolution doesn’t cause anything to become more sophisticated; it just moves things around & around, sliding forward & backwards, So that an infinite amount of time may elapse, without showing any particular advancement along any given axis.
The universe may well have been considerably more sophisticated at some time in the past, and will again become a utopian paradise at some time in the future, but these peaks haven’t, and will not, follow any expected or predictable patterns.

The Other Solution that i considered last night; Is that the universe is advancing / developing in a more desirable pattern, and has long since allowed for worlds to evolve that are no longer dominated by animals eating animals, and sentient beings brutally savaging one another.
In such a world; The Sentient Beings have incarnated into mechanical forms that pull their energy/food from the zero-point ( ? ) field to power their consciousness, which then leaks the excess heat back into this elemental field, living off the convection currents. From this position; This community of minds have created a Ξ.x layer of reality that we apparently inhabit.
The remaining question is; The Sentient beings that supervise this ( these ) layers know that they’re not real, and that the suffering is not permanent, but why expose countless souls to our experiences of horror, pain, disease & torment?
Might it be, that the universe has nothing more to offer?
Boredom and the absence of viable alternatives have left their idyl hands & minds to explore the limits of mischief.

The Slow Lady : This happened quite awhile ago, and i am only mentioning it now because i made a note of it in my iPod Journal.
Apparently; From what i can remember, i was on the 25 going north to northtown or ? and there was a lady, oddly dressed, with a shopping cart or walker in front of her, and she was trying to take out her MP3 player. While she was trying to do this and hold on to the shopping cart ( Collapsible kind ) It kept slipping or tilting away from her, so i held it for her. She completely ignored me, but apparently acknowledged my participation by using both hands to get at and manipulate the MP3 player. What was particularly odd about this, was that she was -really- Slow. Really Slow. And when it came time for her to put the ear plugs in, she moved the left ear plug ( on my side ) up to her ear, and then ground it, and ground it, and ground it, twisting, and pushing, grinding it, over and over into her ear. Honestly; She must have taken 5 minutes on this one ear.

There should be a service, available through a local community network, for everyone to use, that is staffed by volunteer tangental thinkers.
These Tangental Thinkers would listen to peoples problems and come up with definitive solutions. After a time, All The Usual Problems would be asked and carefully and functionally indexed on an internet site, so that most problems would be simply and easily answered without and special effort, but The Tangental Staff would always be availably, hoping for the genuinely novel and curious problem to challenge them !

One of my Most Vibrant Pet Peeves is people that criticize children that are accomplishing something as these children having thrown away their childhoods.
Most children never have anything like an enjoyable childhood.
Most children’s childhoods are a freaking nightmare of taunting, bullies, pressures to conform, behave & suppress all their natural instincts, succeed at inane & incomprehensible goals, routinely enduring mindless criticism from their parents & teachers, And Television ideals that keep urging them to commit suicide.
But a child that can really become good at something when they are very young, and have their affairs managed during this time by responsible adults, they can have a real childhood that will be extended for their entire lives.

What’s the deal with The Crisis in Japan with their Nuclear Power Plant(s?
We’ve been hearing for years & years about Japan’s expertise with Robotics,
And now that they actually have a Crisis specifically Designed for Robots to Handle, They have No Robots !
Why are they sending people into the Melting Power plant, when they should be sending in Robots?
Plus; They should have buried the whole power plant with lead bowling balls a week or more ago, and yet they seem convinced that they’re going to just sweep it up and restart it at the beginning of next month ( ? )
And : If this is a Chernobyl Sized Accident and they have to seal this area off, how much of the entire island of Japan is going to be uninhabitable for next million years?
And And : Why aren’t these Nuclear Power Plants designed so that if the power is cut off, The Control Rods don’t fall by Gravity into Their Containment Block?
Or - If you’re basically an Alarmist; The Plant should be designed so that in any sort of crisis, The Fuel Rods would Fall, By Gravity, -Through- The Containment Block, into a More Heavily Shielded Pure Lead Containment Block. Pushing them back out and into operation would be the hard part, not getting them in there in the first place.

Dreaming in a Forgotten Language ( Reference to Wm Jaz Blog )
Dreaming in a Forgotten Language is; perhaps, rather like speaking in tongues, or speaking in a language forgotten from some previous life.
But my other initial impression of this dream recollection relates to an idea i had some time ago, in which i was speculating that evolution, or angelic engineers, created people ( homo sapiens ) to possess an iq of 100, and that those people that deviated from this point of perfection were ill-equipped to function in the perfect of all worlds Earth that we inhabit.
Being dumber is obviously a hindrance; the more dumber, the more likely the victim is to stumble into some ill fate by the poor exercise of simple expectant thinking.
But the smarter featherless parakeet is also at a terrible disadvantage in most real world situations, in that often see tigers in trees where none exists, and contrive of schemes that involve too many steps, any one of which may result in some terrible calamity.
This perhaps explains why many civilizations evolved so slowly, and those that did, because, perhaps, they encouraged the smarter hamsters to self actualize, contrived of many such schemes which ultimately burnt out those civilizations in just a few short centuries.
Dumb civilizations last for Millinia,
While Smart Civilizations rapidly evolve, Then implode from within.
Very seldom does a Civilization end at the hands of foreign barbarians,
It is much more frequently pushed apart from within, or starved to death because of climatic changes.
There is something wonderfully enchanting about finding structure and order in surrealistic paintings, prose poems, the gematria & dream interpretation; But the angels that created us, and wished us to survive & flourish like Beetles, did not wish us to kill ourselves off with the ideas & delusions that too much intelligence provides.
People were designed with an iq of 100 because that suits us best.

This Strikes me as one of the perfect test examples for what i would like every computer to be equipped with; And that is; A Simple, Easy to Use, Near English ( Native Language ) Programming Language.
With such a tool, The User could simply instruct the computer to search for all notable writers and other artists by some easily quantified criteria, then look up the biography of each, searching for any reference to smoking & all thesaurus related terms. Then The User would either refine these results or examine them in their snipped out form to determine whether the subject was an active smoker or not.
And while in the early days of computers, Every Computer DID have an Easy to use BASIC Programming Language included with it, The Software Industry has now removed all of these easy to use programming languages from the public domain.

i grew up in an extended family with many aunts & uncles, all of whom were chain smokers, and upon this reflection; i can attest that none of them expressed any special talents or creative abilities.
If such an argument were to be made that smoking were an elemental factor to contributing to a ‘prepared mind’ to be =more= creative than one without this drug,
It seems to me that one might just as easily use the same argument for alcohol, schizophrenia, Any number of personality disorders, A violent temper, general sociopathology, acute rabies, harsh winters, unrequited love, head lice, syphilis or hyperopic vision.
Many have argued that Van Gogh painted as he did because he was ‘Mad’ and other’s have argued that he painted that way despite his Depression & Whatever else he may have suffered from.
The prepared mind may be either suppressed or ignited by any number of environmental blankets or triggers, but these elements will never activate an unprepared mind.
Many genius’ throughout European history became Catholics to enjoy a regular income and societal security, but Catholicism is rarely given as a factor in their genius.

But before these secrets were lost forever; Some of the priests wistfully encrypted all that they knew in poems & incomprehensible prose, and then bound them with expensive, gold leaf covers, so that they would be preserved by wealthy patrons, until at some unspecified time, when curious academics in the distant future would again discover all the subtle truths that gawd shared with Adam before casting him from Eden.
i suspect that it is far more reasonable that these books were written by schizophrenics and saved for millennia for the simple reason that the enthusiastic & marginally articulate ravings of these early surrealists were far more entertaining than the bland & pragmatic, insipid & flavorless Annals written by competent accountants.
But any truths which may be derived from them, are the same truths that one may extract from studying the shapes of clouds or listening attentively to the voices of faeries hiding behind waterfalls.

i have noticed that quite a few of the drivers are sporting inverted flags
on their jackets.
While they may provide the excuse/explanation that these are 'flying in the
wind', one might expect another flag on their right shoulder patch that is
flying in the correct orientation.
But this is Never the case.
What do the inverted flags really mean?
Are they a code for an Al Qeada Sleeper Cell?
Or are they simply an expression of The Amazingly Open Racism that has
always been an important part of Spokane's Culture and Heritage?
The Inverted Flags are just wrong,
And Spokane Metro should not allow these to be displayed on their official
uniforms.

About two years ago, it came to our attention that the flags sewn on the right
sleeves of our uniforms were technically oriented in the wrong direction. One of
our coach operators pointed out that the flags on the uniforms of our Armed Forces
always have the 'union' (or blue field) facing forward. This caused us to research
the technically correct way to display the flag on the right sleeve of our uniforms.
It is a little known detail, and one not commonly practiced -- that is why it may
look odd. We immediately requested our uniform supplier to change the orientation
of the flags on all our future uniforms. Due to the fact that it is common for the
flag to be displayed both ways, and due the cost of replacing the flags on all
uniforms, we did not retroactively change the previous uniforms. Consequently, you
will still see a mix of both types on our uniforms.
As public servants, we at Spokane Transit are proud to display the flag as an
expression of our love of country. I appreciate the fact that you noticed and care
about this much as we do.

i should first note that i am not a xenophobe or jingoistic ultrapatriot.
In fact i don’t even have a flag to wave.
i believe that our government routinely lies to us,
That we never went to the moon,
And that 911 was the work of a home grown group of American born millionaires,
And not that of islamic Terrorists.
Nevertheless;
i belong to the old school of believing that the flag should always be displayed with the union in the upper left hand corner,
Whether displayed horizontally or vertically.
And consequently; i will continue to believe that the inverted position is wrong.
In any other context, this would be wrong.
Just wrong.
Anyone looking at an inverted flag as those are displayed on your uniforms,
Viscerally knows that this is Not the correct depiction of the iconically presented american flag.
If you really believe that the union should face front;
Then the flags should be sewn onto the left shoulder,
Where it can be Displayed correctly.

About two years ago, it came to our attention that the flags sewn on the right
sleeves of our uniforms were technically oriented in the wrong direction. One of
our coach operators pointed out that the flags on the uniforms of our Armed Forces
always have the 'union' (or blue field) facing forward. This caused us to research
the technically correct way to display the flag on the right sleeve of our uniforms.
It is a little known detail, and one not commonly practiced -- that is why it may
look odd. We immediately requested our uniform supplier to change the orientation
of the flags on all our future uniforms. Due to the fact that it is common for the
flag to be displayed both ways, and due the cost of replacing the flags on all
uniforms, we did not retroactively change the previous uniforms. Consequently, you
will still see a mix of both types on our uniforms.
As public servants, we at Spokane Transit are proud to display the flag as an
expression of our love of country. I appreciate the fact that you noticed and care
about this much as we do.

i should first note that i am not a xenophobe or jingoistic ultrapatriot.
In fact i don’t even have a flag to wave.
i believe that our government routinely lies to us,
That we never went to the moon,
And that 911 was the work of a home grown group of American born millionaires,
And not that of islamic Terrorists.
Nevertheless;
i belong to the old school of believing that the flag should always be displayed with the union in the upper left hand corner,
Whether displayed horizontally or vertically.
And consequently; i will continue to believe that the inverted position is wrong.
In any other context, this would be wrong.
Just wrong.
Anyone looking at an inverted flag as those are displayed on your uniforms,
Viscerally knows that this is Not the correct depiction of the iconically presented american flag.
If you really believe that the union should face front;
Then the flags should be sewn onto the left shoulder,
Where it can be Displayed correctly.

Shoot 'Em Up.
i was just looking through Google for a Recent police shooting in which a woman in the passenger seat of a car was shot and killed by police.
i just heard a snippet of it on the radio or TV ( ? )
And so i thought i would find some more details on the interweb ( a few days later... )
Unfortunately; When i typed in Police Shooting,
i got about a million hits,
And when i tried to refine the search for innocent victim,
it cut the results back to only a half a million hits.
???
i see this over and over again;
Whenever The Police decide to use deadly force to disable a man in a wheelchair that may or may not be wielding a rock,
It invariable results in every cop in the vicinity just opening fire in the general direction of what they think, may or may not be in the correct target.
i would like to advocate a new policy for this sort of situation;
And that is;
Some of The Officers would only be allowed to use Blanks.
These are The Police Officers that can't shoot straight,
and tend to become panicky when they see a spider in the bathtub.
They would still be able to provide 'Coverfire' for The Officers that were allowed to carry live ammunition, but they would be less likely to kill innocent children or hostages.
Also: At any given location in which there was more than one Officer with Live Ammunition,
Only one would be designated as -The Shooter-.
This would be the one that could actually shoot the straightest,
And it would be well understood in any given situation, which Officer that was.
Then The other Officers with blanks would provide the necessary cover fire
To allow the Designated Shooter to safely put themselves in a good firing position,
And fire ONE or Two Appropriately placed shots to disable the suspect,
Evaluate The situation; Then fire again, If The Designated Shooter thinks that this is Necessary.
But that would take all the fun out of it,
Wouldn't it ?

Determinism: Fate or Phat ?
In A January 5th 2011 Blog Post by Wm Jas ( Bugs to fearen babes withall )
He mentions the concept of Determinism;
Asking : What does that mean?
[ From the Future } : i've been doing some more light thinking on this,
And i've decided that Wm Jas has made all the correct deductions,
But he simply doesn't like the conclusions.
i.e.; Determinism infers The Reality is Wrong.
Do you believe that anything is possible,
Or that only possible things are possible?
Determinism; for me, has always meant : Cause & Effect.
And i don’t believe in Quantum Randomality or Indeterminism Either.
i believe that everything that goes on inside a proton is happening for specific reasons, And when one of them decays, it is doing so for statistical improbable reasons, Not random ones.
If there was any Genuine Randomality in The Universe;
Randomality would take over. There wouldn’t be any order at all.
Every time Any Motion were attempted, And That Motion were to Pass through The Force Lines of Any Given Atom, Any Given Atomic Nucleus, Any Given Proton;
And encountered A Spatial Zone of Randomality; The Intended Line or Path of Motion Would be lost, and Everything would fly apart.
This analogy is similar to what allegedly happens when light passes through a sheet of glass, Or bounces off a Mirror, Where All The Photons enter the glass or mirror, are absorbed by Electrons & Are then reemitted Randomly, In Any Imaginable Direction.
The Reason that Glass & Mirrors work; So it is suggested, Is that All this Randomality Somehow Cancels Itself out and And Clear Images are Produced.
This is Suspicious.
But If Randomality Does Exist; And Does Cancel itself out,
Leaving a thin veneer of Order that arises from ( ? )
Is that Determinism?
This would seem to suggest that There is Order,
But it is Riding on a Wave Front of Neutralized Randomality,
Which means that Everything that happens,
Doesn’t happen for Reason ( x )
It happens for Reason ( x ± ).
In a Strictly Cause & Effect Universe,
Everything was set into Motion several billions of years ago,
And The Universe as we know it today was predestined at that moment of Creation,
Or - - The UnMoment of NotCreation, an Infinitely long time ago.
Or : Everything was loosely set into motion at some time, Or not,
And It has Fudged itself, Randomly, Into the current universe.
The Version with Things Randomly falling into It’s Current State, i think,
Is Far more Disturbing.
There is a Theory, Or Crazy Idea, Insane Speculation or Whatever;
That Our Entire Reality has Not slowly evolved from a structured Origin Point,
But is At The Current State that it is;
Because a Randomly UnStructured Cloud of Plasma,
Has; Given an Infinite Amount of Time to Play Around In,
Settled on This Universe, for this Instant ( or two ) and it will,
At any future moment, Return to it’s State of Randomized Plasma.
The Version mentioned a paragraph or two above seems to be only a slight variation on that argument.

i was thinking sometime ago, and actually believed that i was making some progress on solving this problem of creating a perfect code, base on a psuedo-random number generator.
The way that proposed it working, Would be; You would create A Plain Text Document,
Then Convert all The Characters into a Three Digit Representation; A = 001 Z = 026
And so on; With allowances for Punctuation and so on,
Then Create a Psuedo-Random Number Generator that would Produce This Sequence of Numbers.
My Idea was that It - IS - ( In some crazy Theoretical Universe ) Possible to Find a Wave Form Generator that will Produce Any Desired Number Sequence.

Something like A Fourier analysis
The analysis of a complex waveform expressed as a series of sinusoidal functions,
the frequencies of which form a harmonic series.
A Field of Mathematics which i had briefly overhead somewhere’s,
and my understanding of it has not expanded from that point since !

From this Insight; i thought that it would only be a few days or weeks before i tinkered together a procedure to do this.
Although i have yet to make any further headway on this project,
It does remain feasible to me.
So.
What does this mean for Orderliness.
It would seem to me that it means that No Matter How Random Something May Seem,
It DOES HAVE, Available to it, A Procedure to Codify it, And recreate it at any future time.
Or another way of looking at it;
You may have a V-8 Engine block,
And a bucket of Sand,
And Then posit the question;
Which is more orderly?
To my way of thinking;
They are both exactly what they are.
One may seem more orderly and =Functional=,
But What does that mean to The Universe?
In The Comix -WatchMen- Dr. Manhattan has taken Laurie Jupiter ( Silk Spectre ) to Mars; And Remarks that Mars is fine place without Oil Pipelines, That Life only appreciates the Importance of Life as a Self Interested Delusion.
The Universe of Atoms is beautiful without having to be seen or admired,
These are egocentric illusions brought about within the fleeting & mundane chimera of Consciousness.
Most of The Universe ( Apparently ) gets along fine without people to snap pictures of it.
Order is An Entirely Subjective Deception of Structure.
In this book i’m tentatively working on;
As a minor Subplot of the main story,
A Time Machine is created that uses a Force that is responsible for what we think of as Time, to Turn Time Backwards, So that Events Flow Backwards in Time.
That is; When the machine is turned on; An Expanding Bubble of Reverse Time is Created, And everything within The Bubble is exposed to This Reverse Time Field.
Everyone walks around backwards, Lightbulbs absorb light, The Dead come to life and eggs leap back into their shells.
The Time Machine comes with a Bathysphere which shields this effect, So that Chrononauts can view this spectacle from a small window.
Curiously though; Since the Chrononauts are no longer part of the external world, They leave a hole wherever they were supposed to have been as time is flowing backwards around them. All The Other Laws of Physics are still fully operational, so that when a missing chrononaut had opened a door to let their infirm mother into her house; He is no longer there to cause this sequence to happen, backwards.
Hilarity of a sort ensues.
When The Time Machine turns off The Field; It has to Restart The Universe, So that it begins to move forwards again, And remarkably; This Forward Canceling Field moves slightly faster than The Reverse Field - -
So that The Forward Bubble will eventually catch up to The Expanding Reverse Field, and Nullify The Effect. So that : The Reverse Field doesn’t keep expanding forever throughout The Universe.
And this is good. Because;
Not only are there bumps caused by missing chrononauts,
But The Reverse Field isn’t quite at 100% Parity to Forward Time.
Every Time The Reverse Field is Activated, There are slight anomalies introduced to The Universe when The Forward Time Field is Resumed.
The Farther you go back in Time with this Device, The Stranger The World Becomes when you Restart it.
The Way that The Engineers & The Government have determined to get around The Principle Problem of Missing Chrononauts from The Resumed Time Line, Is to Recruit a Group of Slightly Crazy Chrononauts that enjoy being completely alone, and isolate them in an underground bunker. These Cells are completely isolated from one another and each contains it’s own Time Machine. When The Government decides that a Time Mission is required; One of them is selected and s/he goes back in time no further than when they were put into isolation.
In The Story; One of The Chrononauts; Suzi is sent back to assassinate a young boy that takes over the world with giant mechanical ants. Although while in The Isolation Cell, Suzi can’t have any contact with the outside world, He can receive phone calls, and frequently receives calls from himself, giving him clues as to how to accomplish his decidedly more difficult mission than one would have thought.
Along with the giant mechanical ants, there are several other interested parties that each have their own agenda.
There are several Alien Species that are very annoyed with our use of this time traveling technique. Of all the different ways of traveling through time, this is the worst.
The Aliens are using a variety of methods of time travel to stop us, but each method has it’s own problems.
And so on.
Exiting this Digression :
Determinism is directly related to FreeWill,
Everyone thinks that they have it,
Yet there is just NO WAY that it can work.
All Variations of Determinism, Near Determinism, Fudged Determinism,
InDeterminism & Pure Anything Goes Randomality
Are all stained with severe Improbability as a mechanism to explain how the universe got from there to here.
In an infinite universe where everything, so it is assumed, will happen eventually;
Improbability doesn’t carry much weight,
But when you’re standing in the frying pan, it does seem hot.
The Solution that i have chosen;
Which explains everything from what takes the place of determinism, freewill & consciousness; As well as bigfeet, flying saucers, angels & missing socks - -
Is that The Hindu’s got it right when they decided several thousands of years ago that the world is Maya.
Pure Illusion.
The True Reality is Incomprehensibly Incomprehensible,
But from it; Freewill & Consciousness are an Easy Extrapolation from First Principles.
The Alternative is that we simply live in an impossible reality.
