Wm Jazz told me about The Muqatta'ats,
and suggested that i work up a Checksum Procedure that would reveal whether or not these Suras ( Verses in The Islamic Qur'an ) are Spiritually Reliable or Not...!!!
This problem seems kind of like another problem that i've been thinking about for a long time,
And that is The Significance of Ratios & Lengths of Lines & Intersections of Stellated Polyhedra.
When you take a Pentagram and connect the five points,
The Intersections that are then created reveal The Golden Ratio...!!!
Which is The SquareRoot of Five, Minus 1, Divided by 2.
And i've often thought;
How to 'They' come up with these equations...???
Also:
Considering that for Simple Polygons like Triangles, Squares, Pentagons & Hexagons;
There are plenty of 'Easy' to find Lines & Intersections that 'Mean Something'...!!!
So--
Does this continue for Septagons, Octagons, Nonagons... et. al. ...???
i've played around with this a little bit,
But i haven't made much progress...
It's easy to find the really precise values of the lines and intersection ratio's,
But the trick is to then find an equation/expression that will 'Codify' it...!!!
Or --
Find some other Application for the given length or ratio...???
Numbers like π & Φ ( pi and the golden ratio ) keep reoccuring over & over again throughout mathematics...
Why shouldn't some obscure intersection based ratio in a Septagon have that same property...???
It seems to me that this Muqatta'ats as Checksums puzzle is kind of like this...
You would want to find a general principle/formula/equation to apply to all of the 29 Suras and result in something meaningful...???
How would go about finding something that would 'Fit' all the data...!!!
And you'd want it to be Elegant.
It couldn't be something as crass & homely as a Calibrated Gematria...!!!
It would be pointless to come up with something that looked very Contrived and was Unnecessarily Complicated...
But --
You would have to start somewhere; just to show that it's possible...
And then shave off the superfluous parts...
Also:
( i'm trying to think of ways of getting out of doing this...!!! )
This should really be attacked from The Arabic Language side of it...
If it's going to be Genuinely VALID...!!!
To show that there is something that 'Works' in English would be Nearly Pointless for The Original Arabic Qur'an...!!!
Plus:
The Muqatta'ats might be Checksum Keys in some entirely Unexpected way...???
There are so very, very many ways of approaching any manner of Jiggery Pokery ( Word Play ) that it boggles The Curious Mind...!!!
So i will continue to think about this,
And maybe someday, something will click together,
And a method of Attack may be suggested...???

Wm. Jazz sent me references to all the Sura's with the Muggies,
and after looking at a few of them;
i discovered that a Sura is not a Verse, or a Line, or even a paragraph...!!!
But a Whole Dang Chapter...!!!
And since i'm still trying to play around with these things on a Hand Held Calculator...
i think it would be TOO MUCH to ask,
to watch me key these things into my calculator,
one character at a time...!
( Assuming there would even be room for ONE of them...!!!
