They may also be Experiencing Great Fortunateness that i Envy!
When you Balance out any given person's Fortunateness -vs- Their UnFortunateness,
Does that yield a Fulcrum of Fortunateness,
And from that; Determine who is really Suffering Great Unfortunateness & Great Fortunateness?

i have often considered that my own Fulcrum of Fortunateness is Balanced At a Much Greater Amount of Fortunateness than Most People in the World, and if you consider All The People that have ever lived; Then my own Fortunateness would be in The Top 2%.
This takes into consideration many episodes of Great Unfortunateness in my own life,
But Balanced against all The Great Fortunateness that is Mindlessly Inflicted upon me every day,
i think; Every Little Unfortunateness that happens to me, Is so Insignificant, and Detracts in such a miniscule degree from my Greater Fortunateness, That i am quite a heel for wanting to detract from The Fortunes of the World to fix my tiny problems.

Am i being reasonable to complain to people when some Unfortunateness inflicts itself upon me?

i have also noticed something which i call; Wiggliness.
Wiggliness is when something Unfortunate Happens to me, But after a time, These Circumstance lead directly to Fortunateness.
Then after a time, after that; Unfortunateness will come from that, And then become Fortunate Again.
The Circumstances that form this Thread may alternate again & again, before settling towards a baseline of general Fortunateness or Unfortunateness, Without taking the Extremiums that spiked in its early manifestations.

There was just a story on the Telly this morning about a guy that attempted, but failed,
To cut his own arm off,
after somehow snagging it in his basement furnace. At the end of the story; The Family of this guy was asking for donations to pay for a prosthetic arm.
It's my understanding that these prosthetic arms, even the lame ones, are VERY Expensive.
The reason for this is somewhat legitimate, In that they're not the sort of thing that can be mass produced, as each one has to be fitted specifically for the user, and they typically require materials that need to be strong enough to endure daily use, which includes lots of bending, bumps & abuse.
Plus; Shaping the stump receptacle requires a genuine level of specialized craftspersonship to form the cup so that it's very comfortable for the wearer.
But- - -
It seems to me that all this could be codified, with detailed instructions, And comparatively inexpensive materials could be found to build it from; Then A Local High-School Shop Class could not only make these limbs, and experiment with improvements to the basic open-source design, that really wouldn't be available at any smaller number of specialized shops that make them.
Are the engineers that are currently making these appliances going to go along with this idea?
No.
They are going to insist that, especially with leg faux limbs, They need to be made to the highest standards to protect the safety of the users and insurance companies that would be bankrupt after paying thousands of claims when the incorrectly made artificial limbs would inevitably fail.
But the instructions for how to make the limbs would include all the specifics for how strong & mechanically durable the limbs have to be.
The Instructions would include all the protocols for making them to their full safety potential.
Plus; Being serious business, The units would be made by students with only the most serious intentions in a special class that would make all sorts of things for the community.

( As a side note; It has always seemed crazy to me that the resources of all the high school shop classes are squandered, while they could be serving their local communities. / And this goes for prisons as well. )

How to Deal with Rush Limbaugh
If you believe that Rush Limbaugh is A Complete & Very Dangerous Idiot, and not merely an amusingly Baffoonish Blowhard;
Then you may want to consider this strategy to help the dumbest Americans come to understand that Rush will say anything, Irregardless of what the consequences of that position may be for the real world.
i would like to believe that Rush Limbaugh is primarily an Entertainer of Sorts, And doesn't really believe all the crazy things that he says on the Radio.
No One can really be that Stupid.
Certainly not someone as well educated, well read & Articulate as Rush Limbaugh.
No.
He's not really an Anarchist bent on Actively destroying the world--
But rather; Someone that believes, perhaps very wrongly-- That most of his listeners don't take him as seriously as most of his vitriolic critics.
Rush Believes that he & his listeners,
And Fox News, are =Putting On= The Liberals.
There is a very fuzzy, very Fine Line that is separating what Fox News, Bill Riley, Rush Limbaugh & Sarah Palin are telling you,
And what serious conservatives, That are fearful of UnNecessary, Gratuitous Social Change & Government Oversight; Really Believe.
Rush Limbaugh is not a serious Conservative that loves America.
Rush Limbaugh is a Radio Personality that likes to say crazy things that simply outrage his listeners & critics, because he knows that people like to hear things like this--

i believe that what really killed The McCain/Palin Ticket to The Presidency; Was when Gail Quinnell so ridiculously attacked Barrack Obama with what may, or may not, have been racial slurs, That McCain had to Defend Obama!
i would like to see is this same approach being used against Rush Limbaugh.
Call him up during his Radio Program and Simply Reflect what he is already saying,
Only a little bit crazier.
Take The Disposition of someone that believes what they're saying, Be Articulate, Be Well Spoken, And little Schizophrenic.
Rush will be into the position of Either Agreeing with you, or Reprimanding you for being UnReasonable; Essentially Renouncing what he just asserted a moment before.
If Rush Agrees with you,
It will The Responsibility of The Next Caller to Take it up another Notch.
This is also The Methodology of The Friendly BullSh*ter.
The Friendly BSer doesn't actually want to lie to you, or lead you to believe false things, but merely entertain you with Silly NonSense.

Finally got around to seeing Avatar...!
About the Only Review that i read concerning Avatar
Was This One by Wm Jaz;
And i thought after seeing Avatar on DVD that we'd watched two completely different films...???
Immediately after getting to The Smurf Sequences,
i thought that the animation was much cruder than i had been led to believe.
It really wasn't Really Hand Springs & A Unicycle Act over previous CGI Films.
The Most Obvious flaw that i quickly noticed was that the shadows seemed wrong,
And after flipping back & forth between The Smurf Sequences and what were Presumably Live Action, i decided that The CGI was just -Timid-.
The Same problem, But too a much lesser degree—
Than the washed out Gleep Monkey in Lost In Space [ 1998 ].
If they had just brought up the highlights a little and darkened the shadows,
It would have been much harder to see that there weren't the tiers of shadows and highlights from real life.
( that is; Shadows caused by reflections & Highlights.
Granted; This is very subtle stuff, but after our eyes become more & more accustomed to what reality -should- look like, i for one, become a harsher critic.
Also: As a life long Television Watcher, i am fascinated by the stylization of various programs that we, as television watchers, come to accept as -What is Real-.
Most people are aware that what we've come to expect an Explosion to look like, looks nothing like a real Explosion. We've been acclimated to all sorts of things like this, and as styles & Television Production Values change; What we accept as Real changes dramatically, So that a TV program that we grew up thinking was so very realistic—
Now is Intolerably Slipshod & Cheap looking.
This Effect is Greatly Magnified when it comes to CGI.
CGI films that blew us away just a few years ago,
Are now Unbearably Pong Looking.
Another thing; Was the 6 Legged Mammals ( ? ).
If The Smurfs followed the same evolutionary path as the other large mammals on this world,
Why don't they have 6 Appendages...?
Given that there may have been two major evolutionary branches on this tiny world,
With a Gravity less than Earth; What would have been the advantage of 6 Legs?
And What was even far more annoying ( derived from one stepping through the DVD )
Was that The Front Pairs of Legs were either simply mirroring the other pair,
Or moving in a gait that used the second pair as their hind legs...
As Opposed to Walking with a Genuine 6 Legged Gait,
Such as that of Ants or Beetles.
Cameron Added more -Kewl Looking Legs- but didn't take the time to figure out how a large animal like that would use them...??? !
Evolutionarily; Extra Legs have to demonstrate a specific Advantage,
While Reducing Disadvantages.
An Extra Pair of Legs on a Planet with little gravity is just dumb.
Jebus would not have made animals like this!
Another point that Wm Jaz and other reviewers made when the film first came out in theaters,
And makes me believe that i was watching a completely ReEdited Version...
Was that When Jake decided to Switch Sides,
The lead up to this: Made it Completely Obvious & Inevitable.
How could he Not have...?
Only A Complete Monster would have Followed General Ratchethead.
What annoyed me a little was that When Jake ( The ( Chosen One ) Hero ) lead all The Smurfs into battle without A Clever Plan to defeat The Sky Ghouls.
He was just taking The Blue Cat People to the slaughterhouse!
Small Points;
i would have liked to know what the Impossibilium metal that they were extracting was actually good for.
This name is rather derivative of the name Improbabilium,
used for the metal in The Film The Core.
Speaking of Recycling Ideas; i thought it was kind of odd that Signourney Weaver was in this film, given that 90% of The Heavy Machinery was taken from Aliens.
And While The Machines were Rendered more convincingly than The Smurfs,
They were still less than perfect.
Missing Surface dents, scratches, & peripheral shadows & second tier highlights being the most readily observed flaws.
They were at par with The Machines in The Last StarFighter [ 1984! ]
Then:
It seemed to me that many of the animals used were lifted straight out of
Barlow's Guide to Extraterrestrials.
Another Point:
While it makes the Humanimals The Bad Guys;
It's not really an AntiWar Film.
It's not even An Environmentalist Film.
It would have been perfectly reasonable for The Earthlings to come to this far off world and ignore all the asteroids & Ort Cloud of this Solar System and pick the one world with Intelligent life on it; Which is not really revealed as being extremely rare or not...
That is; In this Universe; Is it filled with planets with life, and intelligent life...???
Anyways... It would have been perfectly reasonable;
If they'd just kept to their little compounds, mined this rare metal, and left.
But no.
The Entire Point of The Film seems to be that Military Generals just want to Destroy Everything, And most Soldiers are of The Same MindSet.
This may in fact be entirely reasonable, And True.
But it makes for a kind of dumb movie.
Kind of like the Billy Jack films in which The Police were all Insane Killers.
Which also may be entirely reasonable, And True.
But i don't like watching films like that, because they're very depressing.
One final small point:
The Major Twist ( ? ) of the film seems to have been that the entire planet was one big brain.
Curiously; This idea is only briefly mentioned, and when it becomes a principle mechanism to beating The Earth Soldiers; The Viewer to left to piece all that together on their own.
While the film bashes you over the head with everything else; This one genuinely interesting idea is horribly undermined.
It would have been much more interesting if the film examined a little what it was like for a planet to think, or how the Signourney Character experienced this...?
Kind of like; In Equilibrium or Spider Man or in Futurama when Fry drinks 100 cups of coffee, and we get to see what Enlightenment is like.
i Always wanted The Star Wars films to show what it was like to experience the holistic universe of a Jedi Knight... But George never did share that with us.
That's pretty much it.
i don't expect this film to be favorably considered 2 years from now.
It will be forgotten, lacking the qualities that make even Godzilla memorable.

This name is rather derivative of the name Improbabilium,
used for the metal in The Film The Core.
Speaking of Recycling Ideas; i thought it was kind of odd that Signourney Weaver was in this film, given that 90% of The Heavy Machinery was taken from Aliens.
And While The Machines were Rendered more convincingly than The Smurfs,
They were still less than perfect.
Missing Surface dents, scratches, & peripheral shadows & second tier highlights being the most readily observed flaws.
They were at par with The Machines in The Last StarFighter [ 1984! ]
Then:
It seemed to me that many of the animals used were lifted straight out of
Barlow's Guide to Extraterrestrials.
Another Point:
While it makes the Humanimals The Bad Guys;
It's not really an AntiWar Film.
It's not even An Environmentalist Film.
It would have been perfectly reasonable for The Earthlings to come to this far off world and ignore all the asteroids & Ort Cloud of this Solar System and pick the one world with Intelligent life on it; Which is not really revealed as being extremely rare or not...
That is; In this Universe; Is it filled with planets with life, and intelligent life...???
Anyways... It would have been perfectly reasonable;
If they'd just kept to their little compounds, mined this rare metal, and left.
But no.
The Entire Point of The Film seems to be that Military Generals just want to Destroy Everything, And most Soldiers are of The Same MindSet.
This may in fact be entirely reasonable, And True.
But it makes for a kind of dumb movie.
Kind of like the Billy Jack films in which The Police were all Insane Killers.
Which also may be entirely reasonable, And True.
But i don't like watching films like that, because they're very depressing.
One final small point:
The Major Twist ( ? ) of the film seems to have been that the entire planet was one big brain.
Curiously; This idea is only briefly mentioned, and when it becomes a principle mechanism to beating The Earth Soldiers; The Viewer to left to piece all that together on their own.
While the film bashes you over the head with everything else; This one genuinely interesting idea is horribly undermined.
It would have been much more interesting if the film examined a little what it was like for a planet to think, or how the Signourney Character experienced this...?
Kind of like; In Equilibrium or Spider Man or in Futurama when Fry drinks 100 cups of coffee, and we get to see what Enlightenment is like.
i Always wanted The Star Wars films to show what it was like to experience the holistic universe of a Jedi Knight... But George never did share that with us.
That's pretty much it.
i don't expect this film to be favorably considered 2 years from now.
It will be forgotten, lacking the qualities that make even Godzilla memorable.

Rough Idea / People are about as Smart as Fish
Cardinal Convictions
1. Skills that are learned, Do Not Transfer to Other Closely Related Skills!
• You would think that if Humanimal Sentient Minds were really Malleable by Learning & Thinking, Then the dexterity gained from any learned skills would be automatically transferred, or at least give you a head start on learning any new, closely related skill, But it has been repeatedly shown that this is Not the case!
2. Improvements to Well Understood & Commonly Used Appliances are made at a Rate Comparable with Random Mutations.
• You would think that if Humanimals could genuinely Think, Then any New Invention would Be Rapidly Improved upon until it achieved It's Definitive Form in A Reasonably Short Time, But it is More Often shown that the tiniest improvements are made only after years of misuse, accidents, systematic failure & general frustration of it's use.

The One Thing that Creates The Illusion that People are Much Smarter Than Fish,
Is that People have Language, and People Make Things.

Appear to be just as Sophisticated as Much Larger Animals,
Such as Turtles, or disorganized coyotes, with Well Documented Brain Material.
Likewise;
Zebra's behave in about this same way.
They wander around, eat a lot, jump away when something startles them, and so on.
Starfish, as it turns out, are Predators, which are usually,
When considering Mammals, Are Usually thought to be much Smarter than Herbivores.
And when we observe Starfish; They do indeed behave in a manner consistent with Mammalian Predators. They Wander Around, Spot a prey, Anticipate how The Prey is Going to React when it's attacked; Then move in for The Kill.
They are successful enough at this to be much more successful, in gross numbers of their species, than any Mammalian Predator.

Without exhaustive examples of the previous assertions, That The Lowest Animals behave in a nearly identical manner as the highest Order Animals, with the biggest Brains...
How many real Qualities do People have that make us behave substantially different from Starfish, or Fish in General... Or Turtles?
All Behaviors that extend directly from our ability to manipulate tools should be excluded for the most part, although, this may not really make any difference, as there are several different kinds of animals with gripping hands, paws or beaks, which have not quite accomplished the sort of things that people have...
While there are fish that do build rather sophisticated structures, As well as many Birds and Insects, without hands.

Hands & Fingers may not be that important to the argument of intelligence.

Most people, The Vast Majority; 80% by Volume, have not done this.
The Vast Majority of people have never created a new idea,
Or learned new skills by anything other than well regulated and habituated Pavlovian Conditioning.
The Vast Majority of people are the Easy Target when arguing that people are about as smart as fish.

The World is full of people that have come up with Very Original Ideas,
And then gotten into the most egregious mischief when they tried to apply them.
There is Another Kind of Creativeness
that May be One of The Special Skills.
This Other Kind of Creativity is The Ability to Come up with A MetaTemplate for New Ideas.
Most ideas, & most Creativity stems from The Use of Well Worn Templates,
Which take the form ( i.e., ) A + B = AB ( Amoung Many Other Established Templates )
Using this technique, the dullest lopheaded albino can be taught to be reasonably witty for a short time. If you use just one or two templates over & over again,
it becomes quickly apparent that you're not really very witty after all.
The MetaTemplate consists of A Template to Make new Templates.
It would seem that this -Should Be- Quite Easy to do; Especially once you've figured out that this would be a very advantageous approach to coming up with New Ideas...
But from my experience; It's VERY Hard.
Thinking in an Entirely New Way, Is bereft of The Usual Speed Bumps that Prevent an Ordinary Humster from Using Conventional Templates.

i personally suspect that much of the bombing in Iraq & Afghanistan,
Were perpetrated by some faction within the US of the A's.
It's tempting to say— The CIA or somesuch,
But we probably don't know the name of this really secret organization,
or it might not even be a subset of the government proper...
The details are a little fuzzy.
But Who Gains from these Attacks?
The Iraqis want us out of Iraq,
But the bombing keep us there.
We have made that very clear,
We say we want to leave,
but we're not going to if these countries fall into anarchy if we do.
So Why would Iraqis ( & Afghan's ) that want us out,
keep doing things to keep us there?

But Who really gains from An Attack on a South Korean Warship...?
Especially; When The North Koreans are adamant that they didn't do it...

Cleaning Out The Blog File
i Started this Blog File awhile ago, so that i could write blogs while i wasn't connected to the interweb... But it turns out that i can't write unless i'm connected to the interweb...

Concerning the recent bombings in Iraq,
Who Benefits from This?
It seems crazy to me that these bombings would be perpetrated by factions populated by Iraqis that want to take over The Iraqi Government, After U.S. Forces leave.
These Bombings are only keeping U.S. Troops IN IRAQ.
The Bombings are working against all the best interests of All Political Factions, for All local Religious Factions & All Iraqi Ethnic & Cultural Sects.
The Only Group that benefits from The Bombings are The U.S. Government Cabals that want to maintain a Standing Army in Iraq forever.
It may well be that This U.S. Government Cabal has been sprinkling itching power throughout Europe, Japan, Korea & many other countries for the last 50 years, Purely to keep U.S. Standing Army Bases in These Countries... To Perpetuate Their Agenda of Allowing The U.S. Government as The De facto World Government.

i certainly believe that there are many disgruntled nationals from The Middle East & Other Regions that have severe grievances with The United States, and That many of these people are very smart... So why aren't these -Real- Disaffected Peons causing real mischief in The United States?
This is such a crazy mystery that the solution may require really excruciatingly withering thinking outside the box.
What if The Reason that The War on Terror wasn't coming Back to The United States, Is Because there is No War on Terror.
What if there weren't armies in Afghanistan & Iraq? What if The Local Nonsense in Palestine & Israel stayed Local?
Another solution would involve Time Machines.
Or that This is A Fractional Reality...
But if this were a Fractional Reality, Wouldn't it be more reasonable that Things would be Much, Much Crazier...?
What solution would mute out superfluous & Gratuitous Craziness for certain locations, but not others...???

This is a perfect model for why SETI is doomed to fail. The Aliens that planted us here don't want us listening in on the communications of other civilizations. This sort of intergalactic Free Speech Effectively destroys Each Participating Culture, and Blending them into one culture, with the dominant cultures influencing the least or vulnerable cultures the most, and not in any good way. The dominant cultures never really succeed in morphing the vulnerable cultures into their culture, they end up only distorting them into very dysfunctional cultures without any principle ethical or social foundation.
This sort of Censorship is actually a very good thing, in that it allows each civilization to develop a unique culture, developing it one step at a time, while clearly understanding each step as it moves ahead.
On Earth; Technologically backwards cultures are often bombarded with iPods & HDTVs without having gone through the development period that allows their social foundations to survive the onslaught of countercultural influences. It could be convincingly argued that even in the cultures where this transitional period did take place, it effectively tore the social foundations apart without replacing them with a viable moral standard that considers multiculturalism as a new repository of ideas & ethical ideas.

This is a perfect model for why SETI is doomed to fail. The Aliens that planted us here don't want us listening in on the communications of other civilizations. This sort of intergalactic Free Speech Effectively destroys Each Participating Culture, and Blending them into one culture, with the dominant cultures influencing the least or vulnerable cultures the most, and not in any good way. The dominant cultures never really succeed in morphing the vulnerable cultures into their culture, they end up only distorting them into very dysfunctional cultures without any principle ethical or social foundation.
This sort of Censorship is actually a very good thing, in that it allows each civilization to develop a unique culture, developing it one step at a time, while clearly understanding each step as it moves ahead.
On Earth; Technologically backwards cultures are often bombarded with iPods & HDTVs without having gone through the development period that allows their social foundations to survive the onslaught of countercultural influences. It could be convincingly argued that even in the cultures where this transitional period did take place, it effectively tore the social foundations apart without replacing them with a viable moral standard that considers multiculturalism as a new repository of ideas & ethical ideas.

Family Life
There's been a lot of Newslettes lately concerning the failed relationships of various celebrities...
Especially very wealthy Celebrities...!
This i can not understand.
If i was very wealthy...
( Very Raw Idea / Needs lots of Development... ??? )
Home Life / Block House
There has been a lot of news lately about dysfunctional couples and finding & choosing ones perfect mate...
If i was extremely wealthy i would find a nice town, then buy up all the houses on a block, then connect them together to make one big house, so that from the street(s, it would still look like a perfectly ordinary block.
Then i would populate it with several women that fit specific profiles, and avoid women with contrary specific profiles.
Good Types:
The types that i would most like to have, are women that get along with each other, because they all know that they are not competing with each other for me or the community resources. They all have their own little projects to work on, and are not dependent to me for telling them what to do.
It may be necessary to have a core group of drones that actually get things done. This class of worker bees would simply allow everyone else to do their own things or nothing. i would suppose that one of the biggest problems would be the busy bees that would have a sense of un-fairness in that while they work, the house cats do nothing. It is very important for everyone to realize that it takes many different ingredients to make a good soup. If someone isn't happy with what their assignment or self designated role is; Then they need to find a new role for themselves, rather than change the community to meet their expectations.
The Self Starter / Plays well with others, A Natural “Big Man”
The Independent Achiever / Loves to Make Very High Quality Crafts, Ceramics, etceteras
The House Cat / Just like a Cat, Lays around all day, loves to be petted
The Bi-Sexual Friendly Organizer / The Passive-Invisible Supervisor
The Universal Mother / That wants to take care of everyone
Bad Types:
There are obviously many types of obviously bad Companion Types... So that this list considers only the types that many men marry for all the wrong reasons.
Curiously; These same men would Not pick the types that are on my favorable list...!!!

Everyone would be Free of All Communicable Diseases.
Homeless people would be recruited and given minimal housing cubes to be our slaves.
Everyone would run around naked.
Hugs would be strongly encouraged.
Mutual Masturbation & Back Tickling would strongly encouraged.
Personal Space would be strongly discouraged...
Although everyone would have a Private Cubical Nest/Room to retreat to.
There would be one house that would be the house where you could go to get a good meal & be especially sociable.
Everyone would get full Medical & Dental Care.
A Concierge(s would be available to get everything done.
There may be a Secret Entrance to The Block via a Larger Building or Parking Garage Several blocks away.
Everyone would be trained in a variety of self defense techniques and body guard driving skills.
There is Good Old and Bad Old;
If a Community Member becomes Bad Old; There should be a Care Facility where they will be embedded into a Robot Control Unit where the robot would roam around, taking care of things, keeping an eye on things, or doing serious science, such as observing big foot or insect colonies.

Re: Toyota Acceleration Problem / Sticky GasPedal Syndrome
i was reading something several years ago about some research that was being done with very small CPU's ( Integrated Circuits ) that would Randomly Program themselves to do a Specific Job.
That is: They would just fool around with their own circuitry until they finally achieved the Desired Result.
The Very Curious Thing about this Experiment was that after they found a Circuit that was really Efficient at some ( x );
They couldn't transfer that circuit to Another Circuit Board...!
Also: The Electronic Designs Completely Defied All Reasonable Attempts to Logic them out...!
That is: They Didn't make any Sense; There was no way that they should have done anything...
The Hypothesis was that during the Random Circuit Design Phase;
The Process was making use of Unique & Invisible Features or Anomalies in that Particular Circuit Board that they were using...!
Fast forward to Toyota's Current Problems with Their Accelerator Black Box.
The Salient Features of This Problem is that It is Unique & UnReproducible.
My Prediction is —
That it will eventually be discovered that for This = Particular = Circuit Design
& Scale of The MicroElectronics;
The Boards are Occasionally Exhibiting Some kind of Cross Over Effect
- Or -
Emergent Complexity Phenomena that only happens once in awhile,
given a wide variety of circumstances and Board features.
That is: The boards of Some of These Black Boxes have reconfigured themselves into Some New Electronic Design that is behaving completely normally for them.
Such a Board will look perfectly normal, and may even pass all self diagnostic routines.
But when the electricity flows through them;
The emergent pattern of functionality is Different from The Designers intention.
The Biggest Flaw with this Hypothesis is that the Malfunction seems to always take this one form of The Sticky Pedal Syndrome.
This may be because the anomaly in the circuit board only allows for this one emergent complexity effect...
...Or -- There Are Other Effects that the boards are Exhibiting;
But because they are purely benign, they are not reported or even noticed.
It may be traced back to a particular collection of boards made on a given day,
Or materials used from a particular supplier.
No amount of Investigative Analysis will ever find the problem,
As it is invariably too complex.
The Solution will be to simply redesign The Accelerator Black Box and Replace them.

What a Nuisance!
My Stupid Tracfone / Motorola C261 : Broke about a week ago.
It displayed The Message : Emergency Only
Over the Date and wouldn't allow me to make any calls except to 911.
i first thought the network was overloaded and that it would spontaneously clear up,
But it did Not!
Then i suspected that the local towers had fallen over,
But it wouldn't work anywhere in town...!
So then i tried The Master Reset,
Which erased all my Directory Classifications,
But did not allow me to make calls.
So i finally sent a request for help to Tracfone,
And they sent me on a wild goose chase through their website,
Finally telling me to First Turn the phone off and then on,
So that Any Relevant Error Messages would Come up...
But it turned out that just turning it off and back on Fixed It...!!!
i had completely forgotten the first rule of Fixing Any Electronic Device...
Turn it off and back on...!!!
Ack!

New Flickr Account...!
Due to a Recent Fiasco with Flickr...
Which; Fortunately, Came to Nothing...
It Nevertheless got me to worrying that if i should misbehave in a manner that would get all my photos deleted...
It would sabotage my --Original-- Purpose for starting my Flickr Account,
And that was: To Create a Repository of Family Photos...!!!
So i just recently started a New & Improved Flickr Account
that is NOTHING BUT Family Pictures.
It is Called Harvey&Marie and is ostensibly intended to include pictures
Of anyone & everyone that extended outward from my Maternal Grandparents.
This Criteria is Administered quite Leniently;
And anyone that extends outward from anyone in The Primary Group
Will also be considered Inclusive...!!!
( Which just about covers anyone...! ( ? ) ]

Freedom...
i changed my Blog Aphorism from :

i was listening to the radio the other day and it had some new nibblets on the political interpretations of =Freedom=...
And it suddenly occurred to me; As my natureal contrarianism kicked in...
That Maybe these demiterrorists have it Right...
...Freedom IS Bunk...!!!
i have believed for quite a while that Western Civilization doesn't in any way promote real Freedom...
But i am stymied as to What an Example of Real Freedom Might be...???
Maybe the Whole Idea is A Crock.
Maybe it's entirely reasonable to just allow that we evolved as Social Animals on a Savanna over a period of Several Millions of Years and That our Elemental Existence is Based on A Community Ego.
Certainly; The way we Dress, Speak, Think, Eat & What we Believe to Be True & Righteous are All Determined by The Community.
Further; It is my Belief that only Deeply Insane People can even Imagine what something like a Real Taboo Might be.
Those of us that Aren't Deeply Insane may given Examples of Faux Taboos;
But these Are Things that We Are Inclined to Do, If we Weren't Thoroughly brainwashed into Thinking that We Absolutely Shouldn't do them...!
But A Real Taboo is something that We Really, Really, Really would NEVER EVER do...
We Can't even THINK or IMAGINE Doing them...
But It may well be That a Small Child, Lunatic or Foreigner might Ponder these acts 14 times before each Breakfast.
But even if we could Imagine these Acts...
Would that make us FREE...???
Believing Strange Things might make us more Worldly, But not Free.
Outside of Materialism, or The Edicts of The Dao...
And allowing that Freewill might somehow Exist...
Even so... Even if; Freewill were possible;
Within The Confines of Any Humid, Ordinary Social Environment...

Would indicate or Demonstrate to a Passing Behaviouralist that That Person were Free?

More Trouble & A New Gematria Idea
i got in trouble at the library the other day
And it got me to reflect on how i am always getting into
The most amount of trouble for the least offensive behaviour,
And the least amount of trouble for my most egregious behaviour.
There was this one time in Hawai'i after i had gotten into this very, very mischievous behaviour; That i suspect may have driven this one lady clinically insane...
That resulted; Ultimately, in No Trouble at all...
( Minus The Grievous Intermediate Nonsense )
What happened was this;
Some time after The Undisclosed Mischief;
i was walking along one of the streets in Honolulu and this lady cop in a little scooter calls me over to talk to me...
And she apparently got on the radio, reporting that she had =found= me...
Because there were soon a dozen more police scotters and police cars surrounding me...!!!
Then The Severe Craziness Starts...
The lady cop that originally stops me begins to engage me in light conversation.
It might also be noted that i have Asperger's
And possibly as a consequent of that;
i just never lie.
i may tell crazy stories from time to time, but i never lie.
i just don't.
So this lady cop; Who is very nice, Is talking to me,
And all these other police cars are parking all over the streets near by,
And pulling up on the lawns and so on...
But no one else is approaching...
It's just me standing there, talking with this nice lady cop.
And it absolutely clear to me What she has stopped to talk to me about,
But she keeps dancing around it...???
And i am very friendly too,
And answer all her questions with absolutely candid honesty...
All she has to do is just Ask Me: Blah Blah Blah...?
And i would answer honestly...
But She Doesn't...!!!
Whaaaa...???
As am as mystified as anyone.
And it is clear from all my answers
That She Must Know that i am As Guilty as Hannibal Lector for The Unspecified Mischief,
But she is loath to breach the subject...???
What is going on here...???
It is very mysterious.
So after about 20 minutes; She tells me to be good and lets me go...!

That is at one extreme.
At the other Extreme;
i once got fired from a job that i hated for joking with a fellow employee.
We were talking about everything under the sun at the coffee break one afternoon and i looked up at the clock and noticed that it was time to go to work---
i stood up and said; "Well, If we're not going to talk about your sex life, i'm leaving." And i left.
i got fired for that.
The other day at the library;
i got read the riot act by a library administrator,
That brought The Library Security Guard* with him;
Because i was alleged to have harassed a librarian janitor that was emptying waste baskets.
What did i do to her?
By the account that the administrator provided to me,
i was sitting at the table, fooling around on my computer,
Looking at Flickr Images;
While this librarian assistant was behind me,
With my back turned to her---
i was alleged to have moved my computer screen in a suggestive manner.
Apparently;
She thought that image i was looking at was Pornographic**,
And i had moved my screen so that she would be forced against her will to see it.
i hate getting yelled at.

Slight Digressions:
* This Security Guard is very short, and if you ever try to ask him something,
he will just turn and walk away.
** Pornography has a lot in Common with Democracy & Intelligence... In that none of these terms mean anything. Alternately; They can mean whatever you want them to mean. When you use them in A Specific Carefully Shaped Context;
You are inviting your listeners to Interpret what you are saying with their most favorable ( to your cause ) Understanding... ( ? )

It seems that the ratio for Mischief = Trouble -vs- Benign = Indifference
is very close to Zero While The Opposite is Very Close to 100%.
Two other times that i got yelled at for NOT doing something that the person yelling at me was sure that i was doing, and then discovering that i wasn't doing it, or hadn't done it at all...
Proceeded to yell at me anyways.
gawd i hate that.
i can't think of a single occasion when i got in trouble for doing something really bad...
But it's always the case that i get in The Most Trouble for The Most Benign Behaviour.
Of course; There are plenty of occasions when i Don't get into Trouble of Benign Behaviour.
It requires a special set of circumstances, So that Benign + Some Kooky Peripheral Circumstances will evoke unprovoked trouble...

i was reading some of Wm Jaz' posts the other day and he is on this weird kick of relating popular songs and media material to 911, suggesting that they somehow were precognicent of that event...???
And my complaint was that if it is Now Thoroughly Established that The Great Cabbage, Troll Queen or Braman were somehow, ingeniously inserting all these secret messages into all of our media source materials...
Then it should be possible by some simply & elegant manner to extract them...
Before The Event that they are describing-- Happens...!
What might this process be?
If the message were simply sitting on The Surface of The Material;
Then all you would have to do, is piece it together by seeing the relationships between the allegorical references & their plain English Citations...!
The Method by way of The Gematria...
Would require that The Key be easily Accessible;
The Reference Target Sums would be Equally Obvious;
And The Manner by Which The Sums could be Derived be Obvious.
The Whole Point of The Extraction of The Message Must Be that It is Simple & Elegant...
As we are no doubt familiar with Over Wrought Number Games that are able to Connect The Most Improbable & Suspicious Conclusions from Data that has been cooked to mush.
The Method by Which True Messages & Revelations are Derived
Must be Easy to Use, and The Same Method must Prove itself again & again without deviating from It's Original Form.
Fudging & The Smallest Corrections must Never Be Allowed.
No Subjective Interpretations will be Needed.
From What Little work i've done with The Gematria...
i think i have A Method which Yield Consistent & Remarkable Results...
As soon as i learn how to use Chipmunk Basic.
Chipmunk Basic is a nice enough programming language,
But working with strings has confused me terribly...!!!
The Core Idea is This:
Take a Poem, News Story, Short Novelette, Encyclopedia Entry or Correspondence letter...
And count up all the A's.
That sum in the value of A.
Repeat with The B's & b's , C's & c's and so on...
This Letter to Quantity List is your Key.
Now Examine The Text Block for Reference Numbers or Choose a Date; Year, Month & Day and These Numbers are your Targets.
You may also find Target Sums by Adding all The Characters from Each Line of Text.
Or Find Allegorical References in The Way of Some Value, as they relate to some character in The Text or A Desired Celebrity whose Future Life Event is Desired...???
Then Simply Apply The Key to The Block of Text; Looking for Phrases, Works &/or Anagrams that Match The Target Values.
i would fully expect the result will be amazement...
As This Method has Never Failed me.

The Origin of Consciousness ( ± )
The Rule of Thumb Theory.
Wm Jaz was telling me a few days ago how one theory of how consciousness developed after early sapiens began talking, and the brain began listening in on what others were saying,
And the brain was also began listening in on what their own brain's were generating.
That is; brains at that time were generating speech as a complex behavioral function, but was not connected to higher order thinking or sentience in any way.
It was a purely reactive behaviour to various stimuli, And then the brain was able to listen in to this speech that it was itself creating and consciousness somehow developed out of that...
This Theory/Model however requires that consciousness didn't develop until humanimals began speaking, which denies any animals prior to this invention to have self awareness, consciousness or dreaming ( ? ) ... which is in direct conflict with the observed & believed behaviour of non-humanimal automatons.
An Alternative Model is The Rule of Thumb, Or Attentive Trail & Error Conjecture;
Which suggests that A Very Primitive form of Consciousness may have begun with Amoebae.
It still requires a PreMagickal Step of The Amoebae Developing The -Need- or -Desire- to Accomplish Something, which may have taken the form of -Hunger- - But this is Still a Big Step for A Preconscious Robot to take on it's own.
A Wind Up Toy should ( expectantly ) just sit there.
The Suggestion that it do anything for it's own benefit requires a huge leap of Self Motivation.
Of course; This is what Evolution is all About. These Wind Up Toys that are able to wind themselves up, Survive and Reproduce,
While those that don't, are discarded.
At some point in The Development of Wind Up Toys that are able to Wind themselves up in a chaotic &/or haphazard manner—
They take the radical step of Evolving;
A Desire to Wind Themselves Up,
And a Method by Which They Recognize Which Random Behaviours Satisfy This Desire in a Piecemeal Manner.
Some given Behaviour may not satisfy the desire itself, But this Near Miss Evolutionary Development recognizes that they are acting in a manner which is approaching the goal.
This may not be so difficult to imagine. If The Desired Objective ( Still a huge leap ) is accompanied by a set of sensory responses, The Wind Up Toy merely has to Quantify These Stimulations and Recognize that if The Goal to Winding Ones Self Up is =10=,
Any Random Behaviour that Results in a Sensory Stimulation of -8- is Better than -6-.
This Thesis of Early Conscious, Claims that this Ability to Write their Own Programs by Attentive Trail & Error was able to Work Around The Problem of any given organism having an absurdly gigantic library of programming behaviours to deal with the impossibly infinite possible situations that they may be exposed to.
This Rule of Thumb Development allowed The Early Wind Up Toys to include only the barest prewritten behaviours, while improvising nearly all other behaviours, with the agenda of merely accomplishing something.
The Toy needn't even be aware of what they are trying to accomplish, But merely have Sensory Sets that are Activated when (-x-) is Activated.
[ e.g.; The Toy's sugar level drops to a critical level, which causes an enzyme, which is suppressed when sugar levels are high, to become more plentiful, which releases a Sensory Set to The Behaviour Activation Units...
Which Then Picks off a Best Guess Behaviour which has been previously associated with The Given Sensor Set.
Then It acts SemiRandomly, Based on The Best Guess Template, Using The Attentive Trail & Error Routines to Close in On The Desired Goal,
Which is Never Explicitly Stated.
In Higher Order Animals that have yet to attach Linguistic Tags to their own Behaviours,
This would mean that a Fish or Hamster, Seeks Food & Eats, to Satisfy an Active Enzyme Imbalance, Without Ever Experiencing Anything Like Hunger.
This behaviour may appear very complex, even Solve Original Intermediate Problems, without having any desire to solve a known goal.
While this description may seem to Directly Contradict The Consciousness Model,
It does seem to me to accurately Describe The Behaviour of Many Observed Human Activities.

This; In turn, seems to support my developing postulation that Real Consciousness, Sentience &/or Self Awareness— May not be present in all Higher Order Animals that are Behaving in Pretty Much the Same Way as Animals that Do have Real Sentience.
And Furthermore; The Animals with Real Self Awareness may be distributed throughout the Animal Kingdom, While Those WithOut, may be equally apportioned.
It has long been my opinion that many humans are Not Genuinely Conscious,
While many Cats, Marmots, Crows & Fish Are Conscious.

Isn't it extremely remarkable that while there are numerous anecdotes of small mammals, fish & even protozoae acting in presumably intelligent or cooperative manners, There are few, if any, Such anecdotes involving reptiles & fewer yet for amphibians...???

But how does this Answer The Question of How Consciousness first appeared?
It doesn't.
Despite these speculations; i remain a believer in epiphenomenalism,
Which states that consciousness is a passive phenomena, in which these beings are able to watch what their robot shells are doing, but completely unable to control their own vehicles.
Such Control requires a mechanism for which no testable subsystem presently exists.

It also occurred to me while thinking about this ( some more ) that i am coming closer and closer to the absolutely abhorrent philosophy of René Descartes, when he insisted the squealing of pigs at the slaughterhouse, was merely the sounds of machinery breaking.
At least i have the good sense to suggest that while the evidence and authoritative reasoning suggest that this may in fact be true, it applies with the same validity to humanimals as well.
The screaming is coming from machinery breaking, and the tiny homoculii inside is experiencing that terror as if it were something more profound,
But of course; It is merely being seduced by a clever misapplication of faux-logic.
Wm Jaz was telling me a few days ago how one theory of how consciousness developed after early sapiens began talking, and the brain began listening in on what others were saying,
And the brain was also began listening in on what their own brain's were generating.
That is; brains at that time were generating speech as a complex behavioral function, but was not connected to higher order thinking or sentience in any way.
It was a purely reactive behaviour to various stimuli, And then the brain was able to listen in to this speech that it was itself creating and consciousness somehow developed out of that...
This Theory/Model however requires that consciousness didn't develop until humanimals began speaking, which denies any animals prior to this invention to have self awareness, consciousness or dreaming ( ? ) ... which is in direct conflict with the observed & believed behaviour of non-humanimal automatons.
An Alternative Model is The Rule of Thumb, Or Attentive Trail & Error Conjecture;
Which suggests that A Very Primitive form of Consciousness may have begun with Amoebae.
It still requires a PreMagickal Step of The Amoebae Developing The -Need- or -Desire- to Accomplish Something, which may have taken the form of -Hunger- - But this is Still a Big Step for A Preconscious Robot to take on it's own.
A Wind Up Toy should ( expectantly ) just sit there.
The Suggestion that it do anything for it's own benefit requires a huge leap of Self Motivation.
Of course; This is what Evolution is all About. These Wind Up Toys that are able to wind themselves up, Survive and Reproduce,
While those that don't, are discarded.
At some point in The Development of Wind Up Toys that are able to Wind themselves up in a chaotic &/or haphazard manner—
They take the radical step of Evolving;
A Desire to Wind Themselves Up,
And a Method by Which They Recognize Which Random Behaviours Satisfy This Desire in a Piecemeal Manner.
Some given Behaviour may not satisfy the desire itself, But this Near Miss Evolutionary Development recognizes that they are acting in a manner which is approaching the goal.
This may not be so difficult to imagine. If The Desired Objective ( Still a huge leap ) is accompanied by a set of sensory responses, The Wind Up Toy merely has to Quantify These Stimulations and Recognize that if The Goal to Winding Ones Self Up is =10=,
Any Random Behaviour that Results in a Sensory Stimulation of -8- is Better than -6-.
